Actually, since we do not have any lead up info on what happened that eve. in their home I can only guess. Something evidently transpired that because of it's nature was a danger to SP and his image. Petty? Why not just divorce? Why not leave town? Because these people maintain an image a facade that is vital (they belive) to their very existance. When faced with someone confronting them with proof that the image is false is where the danger lies. Especially by someone who used to "support" that image, that I belive is what caused him to "snap" that laci his "narssistic supply" for so long, was pulling up every lie and making him face what a cad he really was and how everyone would SEE him for what he really was.

Also said LE got lots of information from Scott's computer, but would not say exactly what.

Scott is from what I can see, a very greedy person. Divorce is expensive but with a new baby he would have been paying child support (which is a hefty sum for all men these days) for roughly the next 21 years. It is possible he didn't want to pay that money or he might have worried that Amber would reject him if his money supply was cut back severely.

Is that a reason for murder? Not in my opinion but lots of people murder for less money than Scott would have paid over 21 years so it is a possibility IMO.

Per Dr. Baden, thinks it would be extremely unusual to find any trace of GBH in body that had been in water so long. Plus, he called this drug, 'evanescance', meaning it leaves the body under normal circumstances, quite quickly.
