Scott Peterson, accused of murdering his pretty wife Laci is being bombarded with letters from love-hungry ladies begging him to marry them!

Sources inside Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto, Calif., say the handsome 30-year-old fertilizer salesman has received marriage proposals from desperate gals of all shapes and sizes since his arrest April 18.

The kooky letters are delivered to the 6-foot-by-9-foot cell where Peterson is being housed alone to keep other prisoners from killing him in retaliation for the alleged murders of his wife Laci, 27, and their unborn son Conner.

"Inmates look down on men accused of killing women and children," says Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department spokesman Kelly Huston. "We don't want some three-striker with nothing to lose trying to harm Scott while he is awaiting trial."

Officials are so afraid that someone will get to their famous prisoner that guards are required to check in on him every 30 minutes.

Pretty, dark-haired Laci, a substitute schoolteacher who was eight months pregnant, was reported missing from the couple's Modesto home last Christmas Eve.

Peterson, who had joined in a frantic search for his wife, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the bodies of Laci and her baby washed ashore from San Francisco Bay in mid-April.

Now, at a cost of $34,000 a year to taxpayers, the suspect spends his days peering from his cell at a TV set mounted in a corridor and shared by inmates in five other cells. He receives three meals a day and is allowed to shower every other day.

Twice a week, two deputies escort Peterson to the jail roof, where he's given 90 minutes to walk, stretch or shoot a basketball.

He gets to spend as long as he wants with his lawyers. And he can respond to love letters in his spare time. But none of his passionate penpals have been invited to see him.

Peterson can have two personal visits every seven days. So far, he's only met with family members -- and none of his sicko fans.

If Scott is innoce -- sorry, not the right word -- if Scott is "not guilty" of murdering Laci and Connor, you have to know that right now he hates every single human on the face of the planet, with a passion. It would be hard for me to shed a tear in the face of the prosecution and the Rochas if I were unjustly accused and yet in that situation. No matter how much my lawyer told me to do it to soften my image, my gut would be burning with malice for the people who put me there.

I'll bet the Defense wants to EXCLUDE the toxicology. I wonder if that drug made Laci puke (eg. emesis in the mop)!! How does this turd explain looking up stuff like THAT and keeping it on his computer? Very odd for a really innocent person. Most innocent people have a little purer thoughts.

Ted Rowlands is reporting that GHB was found in Laci's system.
Allegedly, they found info on it's affects on his computer during the
first search and apparently actually found some GHB during the second
search.

When he "whiped a tear" (there where no tears!), just before that Geragos said to the judge something like: I'm fighting for my clients life here!
That might have been the reason of Scott' behavior. It just hit him, what's realy going on.
He very shortly looked e few times in direction to the camera, without turning his head, just with his eyes.

It was an interesting hour with Catherine Crier. She was attempting a defense spin, but not getting much help from her guests.
She first discussed the autopsy photos with Dan Abrams, but he brought the discussion around to a list of some of what the prosecution has:
1. The location of the bodies
2. Inconsistent statements to the police
3. AMBER
4. Incriminating statements to friends
5. Laci's hair on the implement on the boat.

Then she spoke with Michael Baden and Candace DeLong. CC asked Dr. Baden if you could tell the gestational age of Conner. At first he said he couldn't, but then he clarified. He believes that Conner's body would have been eaten by marine life if it had been in the water for any length of time. He believes that it was Laci's body that protected Conner's. So he is a proponent of the coffin birth theory.
CC then asked why was there a plastic bag next to the baby's body in the photo - now we know where she got her "baby in a plastic bag" theory. Dr. Baden said that if the baby's body were found in the bag, there would be photos of it in the bag. He thinks it is debris.
Candace DeLong didn't say much, just that Scott is a liar, and that his courtroom "tears" were a show.

My comments:
1. It must be true that the defense has hired Henry Lee, because Baden is now singing the prosecution's tune.
2. I was infuriated by the crawl on CTV. "Petrson cried during discussion of autopsy results."

Note he did not sniff at all. Ya know how when you are trying to hold back tears and your nose starts running.

Per hergus' website on #443 (I'm hergus' pr gal today-lol), the cameraman in the courtroom said he saw no tears.

I didn't see any tears. He did wipe his eyes with his hand and then a tissue, but anyone can do that.

He reminded me of OJ during his trial. They both closed their eyes and tried to have a pained look on their faces.

My GUESS is "doubtful". especially considering the condition of the remains and that they were in water for so long. My understanding of GHB is that it is readily absorbed and leaves very little residual (don't take that as fact until I grab my drug index!!!)With that poor childs body being dismembered and tossed in the bay where it stayed for such a lenght of time, I would be amazed if they find any trace evidence. God bless the forensic path who does!
