Nothing could scare MAxine Waters any more than having to wake up each morning and look in the mirror. Now that's really scary. "Coyote ugly" as we used to say.

Why doesn't someone on that committee point out the obvious -- CNN has been torpedoing Republicans and supporting democrats for years. What's wrong with a little balance? Now that the shoe is on the other foot, they want to quash it. What Maxine fears is not Murdoch, she fears the truth.

It's a classic tactic on the Left to portray the opposition as someone to be feared. Once they're fearful of you, they're free to resent you and to dehumanize you. It's the mindset of: this person can hurt me, so whatever I need to do to them is justified. With FoxNews (granted News Corp is much more beyond FN), Murdoch is a businessman who found a niche in the media industry: and that was to launch a cable news operation which tells both sides of the story. Perhaps it's asking too much of the Left to compete with ideas rather than slander.
