But then there was Kennedy--more immoral than the Felon, more dangerous than JBJ, more a liar than the Felon (with the aid of a compliant media), and more inept at international relations than Carter (wow! and that's really bad!).

RATS in the presidency have given us more wars and human losses in the wars we won and lost, than any presidents ever. RATS in power have ruined the Republic, the economy (call it socialism in action), and the morals of the youth of the nation.

Quite impressive, isn't it?

Slyfox keeps it on his FR web page if you ever need it, or want to add to it!

I would add making treasonous statements against a sitting U.S. president if I kept the list.

Slyfox keeps it.

Had America's enemies known the extent of clinton's dereliction of his duty as President of the USA, America would have been toast. Russia China and France could have nuked this country, and there would have been now response from the USA. God still smiles on America!

There is no doubt that (well to me anyway) that Bill Clinton was the most brilliant politician to ever hold the office.

Programmatically, he actually DID NOTHING.

He realized that any programmatic action he might take would cause some of his support to bleed away, so he extemporized on a daily basis to maintain his base of support. He allowed things to happen which harmed our nation, but his priority was power. He grabbed it and he held it, against some fairly heavy odds.

He also managed his communications brilliantly. It does no good for our team to point out that the media was his creature and he was their darling. He could and did take that for granted. For example, he managed to convince the nation that it was a "Clinton Economic Boom" and he kept the perception alive for a year and half after it collapsed so that it became a "Bush Downturn."

I think instead of bashing this guy, which is all too easy, we should do a "Lessons Learned" session with each other. For example, never again should we have a President who takes office with so few votes. There should be a system of state-by-state run-off elections before the electoral college meets and votes.

Al Gore makes a BFD about his apochryphal "Popular Vote" victory. But no Democrat ever points out the embarrassing fact that Bill Clintom was twice elected by a clear MINORITY of the citizenry.

The candidacy of Ross Perot directly caused the election of this bad man and this shouod never be allowed to occur again. We'll be paying for Clinton's presidency for generations to come, domestically and internationally.

Nor is Perot solely to blame. Gore missed one of the great oppos of our history, when he failed to demand Clinton's resignation, or offer his own. Bush the Elder failed to use the damaging evidence of this man Clinton's criminality while Governor of Arkansas. This is not a matter of conjecture, the record was damn clear. This failure of the '92 campaign remains the great mystery of 20thC politics.

That he was voted in TWICE, was not held accountable for crimes, and still roams lecherous and free, are damning evidence of the decadence of the culture that tolerated him and revelled in his reptilian monstrosity, unsavory sliminess, and crudity. If we didn't know the facts were true, the Clinton story would be better reserved for Saturdary mornings on the SciFi Channel:
The Creature from Hot Springs
Frankenclinton
or Clintigula: The Motion Picture

LBJ was actually able to accomplish some of the horrible things he espoused ... he may have believed in them, I wouldn't know.

Nah. The story's circulated for years how he said, upon passage of several of the great society bills,"I'll have them nigras votin' democrat fer the next hunnerd years".

I believe it. It worked.

Exactly.
My great fear is that this is the Clinton Legacy:

How to survive in power,
no matter how bad the performance.

Clinton's first term did us infinitely more harm, especially internationally, than Carter's. But we replaced Jimmy Carter. We actually re-elected Bill Clinton. Unlike Hitler, or Saddam, Clinton had now made mere survival a respectable goal for politicians of every stripe. That is the most possible damage anyone could do to this country.
