California has had at least two killers go to Canada. One was that serial killer in the Gold Rush. Another went to Canada and from Canada to France. It took years to finally get the serial killer down her for justice.

I lived in Pittsburg for twenty years, and now live in the next town over. This is a great tragedy. My husband and son are both in law enforcement. It's very sad around here, and I hope they catch this b#st#rd soon.

The one I remember the most is CHARLES ING!! He served a four year sentence here for theft and then the legal battle for extradition started. He was eventually sent back tho and faced the Death Penalty.

Thanks RB ,
I too am convienced it is Lacie and Conner
I do not think they will establish a cause of death without a head..I doubt it came off itself so we can guess that is was done on purpose and we can guess that the cause would be evident on it

Ing is the guy. Apparently California promised no death penalty on his known crimes. When we got him back, they found a few more murders that hadn't been charged yet. They tried him for those murders and got the death penalty.
The left wingers went mad here and in Canada. The Ca AG at that time was a republican, and he got the death penalty on these newly discovered murders.

http://www.kron4.com/Global/story.asp?S=1236699&nav=5D7lFHvB Bay Currents Could Hide Body for Months
Posted: April 16, 2003 at 9:06 p.m.
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco police marine unit recovers bodies and body parts in the bay as part of the job. It is a grisly undertaking that also involves dive units from both police and fire departments.
Last summer they recovered the remains of a missing pregnant woman right off the San Francisco Embarcadero, but that was pure luck.
Searchers scoured the waters near Berkeley and Richmond for weeks in the early days of Laci Peterson's disappearance. Nothing turned up. So how could a body wash ashore now?
It has to do with a complex pattern of strong currents in the bay.
"We've had calls from passersby," says sergeant Danny Lopez. "They had seen a body floating last Sunday. Between our boat going on the scene within 20 minutes and commencing the search, we searched for two hours and we were unable to locate the person." .
Then there are other contributing factors.
"If the person is face up, gases can escape," says sgt. Lopez. "If the person is face down, you're trapping gasses and the person will stay afloat. Depending on what happens to the current, a person can turn over and sink."
Because of those factors. It's hard to say how long a body has been in the water and that could affect the investigation of the bodies of a woman and a baby that washed up on Point Richmond this week.
Knowing when the bodies may have been dumped won't necessarily tell investigators where, despite the science that can track bay currents.
Police investigators say right off the Berkeley Marina, the tides just rip through. If a body were dumped in the area there's no telling where it could end up. Especially if the body was weighted down on purpose.

I remember that case well. I actually read the book about those serial murders and I remember he DID get the Death Penalty but you just cleared up the mystery surrounding how that came about. He was/is a grotesque murderer. I put Snotty in the same category.

That's interesting stuff in that article maggie. However, I am of the opinion that Snott dumped Laci's dead body in the water, perhaps weighted down right the day or night he killed her. He was pretty much kept track of by the police since she was reported missing. I definitely think they downloaded GPS into his truck to track his movements. I think it was the grace of God and an answer to all of our prayers that these bodies washed up. Like the hand of God picked them up and placed them. Laci's family really needed some answers.

If Peterson is smart he will be in Canada by now. Not having committed a crime in Canada he will be able to live openly in Canadian Society. Based on the open hostility of the Canadian toward Americans I would guess they would NEVER allow him to be extradited on a murder charge carrying the death penalty.
Canada is an excellent choice to flee to because he would easily be able to obtain a French visa for a long-term stay in France.
Going to Mexico would be a very bad mistake. The Mexican government will always fight extradition of Mexican criminals back to the US, but rarely USA nationals accused of murder.

Thanks for keeping me on your ping list.

Not Western Canada Doc!! We are NOT anti-American in B.C. and Alberta for sure and Saskatchewan and Manitoba only pockets. It's the belly of the beast Ontario and Quebec!! Those two Provinces, and especially Quebec, have ruined this Country.

I agree. My guess is that SP goes to a motel and commits suicide before he can be arrested.

I wanna see him SUFFER. I would really like to see the spoiled brat psychopath have to face the music and either spend the rest of his life in isolation or FRY!! Suicide, however, would be a very quick trip to Hell for him.
