Just the usual over there: people can't understand why we care about some pregnant woman and her baby. How trivial of us!

Yes, how would he know, at that stage? And for heaven's sake, he can file a disavowal of paternity, or whatever name they might have for it in that state! He would just have to carefully mind that there's a time limit for such actions.
For a while we were speculating that he was upset b/c a divorce was in the wind, and maybe he realized she'd have custody, and he'd just be paying child support for all those years. If we were correct in thinking his mind worked that way, I'd think he'd have been relieved if he found out the baby wasn't his! He could divorce her, and be off the hook.

I was thinking that too. It must be quite secluded.
Unless that caretaker couple who live there happened to be standing on that hill on the island--the one that gives them the panoramic view!

Hey, just in on KCBS this early morning hours...unconfirmed....MPD shot and killed a suspect armed with gun...Gunshots went off, and suspect doa.... when I was hearing the breaking news, thought SP was doing himself in, nope. .... unconfirmed, the suspect who is wanted in the fatal shooting on the Pittsburg, Ca cop shooting.... Still pending....Earl Foster, Jr....parolee..wanted in the connection of the officer down shooting...

KTVU confirms the incident as an individual who is believed to be Foster Jr. was shot dead by police.

MPD spokesman said Foster shot it out with officers after stopping to make a phone call at a payphone. He had been under surveillance.

KCBS hasn't gotten it written on the web yet...it happened last night in Modesto in a shopping center... incident still being investigated...
