The Statue Area (Firdos Square and the Palestine Hotel) is the site of the temporary new "city Hall" as announced yesterday.

Does anyone have any Xanax ? I'm going to smoke inside my house... You probably ought to go with either Xanax or the bong, but not both...

What do they seem to be doing where the statue was?
To: GOPrincess
Sadler was going after the big scoop, and yeah, it have gone badly. CNN looks terrible if he gets killed. But Sadler is chasing the ultimate story and CNN is chasing ratings, and...*we* drive the ratings. So in terms of ethics about media matters, I tend to look in the mirror. I found the coverage fascinating and would NOT fault CNN if Sadler got killed -- nor would I, for a second, think Sadler did not know exactly how much risk he was putting himself in chasing after accolades...but I'm the one watching this, so if there's any ethical problem, it's with me, not with CNN (or any of the other networks when I watch them put embeds/non-embeds at risk).
And, of course, I'm not the most shining example of ethics, although some might disagree, but...I don't lie about my voyeuristic tendencies. I can't get ENOUGH of new coverage. I'm not ashamed to say it.

CNN maybe spies but not for the Coalition...IMO
To: GOPrincess
Not saying why the feed is still gone. Just reported coalition bombing of a Palace in Baghdad.
"it could have gone badly" -- sorry, blasted typos

Trig is kind of hard to focus on compared to a live cowboys-and-indians chase on TV, huh?!

Hmmm... suddenly, the gang's all here? Silly me, I was watching Fox & decided to do a last check-in here before turning in & who would have thought that CNN had something worth watching????? LOL

Checked out the last few posts on the link for the other live thread, concern expressed there that the live feed is still off the air...do we need to be worried again???
how abruptly did we go off the air ? The guy from London suddenly appeared - I was watching but I can't recall completely -did Sadler say we'll be back, or did it just cut to London ?
