Cavuto corrected himself. This was a scheduled meeting.

Craig White of the Bloom Mobile was speaking with Lester Holt about that fight that he taped on Monday. They're at a break, not sure if he'll still be there when they get back.
He's been giving a gripping description. I hope Lester replays the interview tonight, which takes place as the tape plays out so Craig can better explain what is going on.
He was THISCLOSE to picking up a gun himself when backup arrived.

(thousands of cheering Iraqis yelled, "America, America, America," and "Bush, Bush, Bush.")

a guy is shown being carried on a stretcher and shoots from the stretcher! they just showed it and Lester asked Craig if the guy hit what he was aiming at....Craig said yes. Hit twice he thought. Is he the one who will be getting his 3rd Purple Heart? The reporter mentioned one of those guys is. Also got one in Mogadishu.

"In spite of great fear" -- I don't know about that ... survivable bravery is more than that.

Also heard the reporter say that the guy who jumped in the vehicle that was already burning said he would go do it because he didn't have any kids...
To: abnegation
It could be as simple as details for the Pentagon authorization and/or appropriations bills for FY 04.

Just got here,,had to work. Cavuto went off on the French yesterday, it was spectacular and beautiful to watch. I love Cavuto.
To: sissyjane
Is it just with the Speaker, or is it with all House leaders? Senate included or not? Accurate speculation depends on who is included in the meeting. :-)
To: cajungirl
I look forward to Cavuto's rant everyday.
To: Miss Marple
It's just with the speaker.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm having a bit of Baghdad-Bob withdrawal...
We knew he was lying, everybody knew he was lying, but he always did it with such a twinkle in his eye, as if to say, "Come on, guys. I don't believe it either." >>>>
I'm with ya Tex. He was very entertaining. Leno and Letterman know it and have been doing jokes about him.
Letterman: "The Iraqi Information Minister did not show up for his daily press conference today, but he did send a message insisting that he was there and it went very well."

Could Rummy's meeting be in reference to "War Powers Act" requirements?
To: mwl1
Hastert won the Pentagon's NCAA Tournament Poll and Rummy was paying him off.

"Because Al Gore and I did it in 2000."What did he do in 2000?
LOST THE ELECTION.
Here's a true story (I've only repeated it a few times for illustrative purposes): the day after the Electoral College elected George W. Bush President of the United States, Wee Willy Wanker went to the UN and asked that new, tougher sanctions be placed on Afghanistan if the Taliban didn't hand over Osama Bin Laden in 30 days. Guess what day Kofi and the UN issued the threat? Dec. 20, 2000. He knew it would anger the Taliban and pulled all UN workers out of Aghanistan the same day. Dec. 20, 2000 + 30 days = GW's Inaugeration Day.
Wee Willy intentionally angered the Taliban because Gore lost the election.

Sorry to say that Baghdad Bob is a criminal. If they catch him, you can enjoy his trial. Otherwise it is Dead Baghdad Bob buh bye.
To: retrokitten
If the meeting is just with the Speaker it could go beyond routine defense matters. For example, some member may be leaking and needs disciplining. Or Syria. Or something pertaining to North Korea.
