"We hope that Washington will now have time to solve our problems here," one [Palestinian] official told The Jerusalem Post. Wait a minute....I thought they all hated us? Now they want us to solve their problems? F/k them.

"I'm stunned and appalled. I can't understand what is happening," said Rustum Abu Ghazalah, a 30-year-old shopkeeper in the center of Ramallah.
"This can't be true," grumbled Abu Ghazaleh. "Where are the suicide bombers? Where are the Fedayeen of Saddam? Where are the heroic Republican Guards?"
Apparently there was at last two people that believed Baghdad Bob.

This is how it was supposed to work
1. Get America angry so they come and fight on Arab turf.
2. Whip America's ass so it runs home.
3.Take full control middle east.

"There was shock and disbelief in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and DNC headquarters Wednesday as DemocRATS and Palestinians gathered around TV sets to watch US Marines and Iraqi residents knock down a giant statute of Saddam Hussein in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad."

"I invested a lot of money in buying a satellite dish and a new TV set because I wanted to watch the day the battle for Baghdad begins," explained the bearded shopkeeper. "I was sure that this was going to be one of the great battles of the century, where an Arab army would inflict heavy losses on the invading crusaders. I feel as if a dagger has been stuck in my heart when I see American soldiers strolling in the heart of Baghdad."
Obviously the sight of the Happy Iraqis was of no interest to him.

Do people really talk like this? God, it sounds phony and scripted.

"Sahhaf reminded me of [Egyptian radio propagandist] Ahmed Said, who during the 1967 war, told us that the Israeli warplanes were falling like flies," said Abed al-Zamel, a 70-year-old retired schoolteacher from Silwad village near Ramallah. "Once again the Arabs have fallen victim to the lies of their leaders and media. We never learn from our mistakes. When the war erupted, I warned my sons not to watch Arab TV stations so they would not be disappointed and depressed when the truth eventually comes out." Get used to being lied to Abed....and keep on soaking it in like the morons you and the "Arab stree" are...

These people are the biggest losers on the face of the planet. Well, actually there are neck and neck with African marxists I'd say.

"I'm stunned and appalled. I can't understand what is happening," Freedom is very confusing to some people. ....And so is the absolute dominance of the United States.

Where are the suicide bombers? Where are the Fedayeen of Saddam? Where are the heroic Republican Guards? Some of them soiled their pants and ran away, some of them got blown into little pieces, and some of them switched to the winning side. Would you like a rough percentage breakdown, or perhaps a pie chart?

Their carcasses are lying on the outskirts of Baghdad and Barsra being eaten by wild dogs.

This reminds of a line from PJ O'Rourke's book give peace a chance.
The day after the Sandi's were voted out of office, he said how great he feeling, then he came accross Bianca Jagger, looking sad and dejected, thought about it than realized it made him feel even better. His first Gulf War dispatches were great also, I really hope he is somewhere in the fray for his next book.

Wonder if the light will ever dawn on the Palestinians that the Iraqis are on the way to a better life ? While they remain mired in the dead end cycle of poverty and oppression, at the hands of their leaders.Sort of like core Democrat voters.
I wonder if they will realize that what they have seen is an opportunity and a warning. That if they let go of the lies and hatred a Palestinian State can be theirs. And that if they do not they are headed for the same fate as Saddam.
