You know, I bet a lot of Germans are watching this, remembering the feelings they had when the Wall came down, and are now thinking that they screwed up big time by not supporting us.

100% correct.

That was a wonderful post and you are correct. There are many who are celebrating in spirit with us today. Thier sacrifice was not in vain.

Do you hear the people sing
Lost in the valley of the night?
It is the music of a people
Who are climbing to the light.

For the wretched of the earth
There is a flame that never dies.
Even the darkest night will end
And the sun will rise.

They will live again in freedom
In the garden of the Lord.
They will walk behind the plough-share,
They will put away the sword.
The chain will be broken
And all men will have their reward.

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Somewhere beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
Do you hear the people sing?
Say, do you hear the distant drums?
It is the future that they bring
When tomorrow comes! -----Herbert Kretzmer

Tank! Tank! Tank! Tank!

It is actually a tank recovery vehicle, even better for this purpose. The M-88 is like a tank tow truck. Should have no problem taking down this statue.

It's a great day to be an American, tame!

There was a triumph theme from Temple of Doom when the kids were released. Play that.

Y'know the world should be reflecting on why this was called "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and not "Operation Iraqi Disarmament". WMD are just the symptoms. We went for the root cause.

In the Arab world, showing someone the bottom of your shoe is the ultimate insult, so beating something with your shoe is the equivalent of giving them the finger. This would be a great time to open up the first Pay Less shoe outlet in Baghdad. A lot of Iraqis are going to wear out a lot of shoes on all those Saddam icons in the days to come....
