"after they are seated"I can just imagine where they're seated when they dream these things up and do things like pick the mayor.

Agree that apologies to Californians are NOT in order here. Jeez...they elected this idiot. And they therefore deserve every piece of fine legislation they get.
This one may not affect the general populace, but I can only imagine what Kleinberg & Co have cooked up for the rest.

We are in the midst of a war and these dingbats have nothing better to do than to try to come up with a way to wipe the silly grins off of other people's faces?
That's what I call "priorities."

Not surprising, given that the Liberals view of the rest of us is that we are just badly-behaved children who need to be controlled until we can be brought up to their high standards of taste and behavior...

Who is that masked man?

Rumor has it that this proposal may have been prompted specifically by this expression:

Have all the members of the city council wear paper bags over their heads for the duration of the meetings to assure compliance.
Like this guy?

In other words, Judy Kleinberg is used to people making funny faces at her and reacting disrespectfully to what she says and she doesn't like it. No sir, not one bit.
To: ZeitgeistSurfer
Thanks.
I inquired if she wants to regulate facial expression would that extend to include hand gestures, posture, various forms of body language( such as perhaps a limit on blinks per minute, clearing of the throat, scratching of various body parts, etc).
To: Havoc
No thinking person would do this, conservative or otherwise.
To: TroutStalker
Man, that is sheer lunacy.
The inmates ARE running the asylum.
To: t4texas
Ya know, that's not a bad idea.
They could all put bags over their heads and go as the "unknown councilmen"!
To: Constitution Day
LOL! That's exactly what came to mind when I read this article. Good job! One of my favorite Twilight Zones.
To: O.C. - Old Cracker
I agree.
One of the best Zone's.
