a Third-World country too poor to defend himself. Okay, Saddam is far from being an angel,...

Unfortunately Saddam has coopted the poor unfortunates of said country to act as his human shield and bodyguards whilst he cavorts about like a third-rate Dr. Evil, manufacturing poison gas, germs, exporting terrorism (He pays Palis and others to commit terrorist acts!), and generally ignoring the ceasefire terms from the last war. His regime steals the food from the mouths of babes to re-sell on the black market, so he and his ilk can enjoy disgusting pleasures and fund anti-war movements world-wide. There's more, but you need to open your eyes and look for yourself. Start with Amnesty International, perhaps.

The unfortunate consequence of this is a lot of mis-informed, deliberately un-enlighted Iraqis have to find out the hard way there is someone who has the resolve and might to stop the likes of Saddam, even if Canada has been duped by a bunch of would-be midget totalitarians into believing otherwise.
