I'm just a little confused though.
There is no sound before the noise.
There's no sound after the noise.
What or where is it coming from?

You all hear all these questions Rita FNC is pumping to the journalist in Baghdad. Even the FNC reporter at the pentagon is blasting him with questions. They are going to get this guy killed.

He said that they were in a firefight with some "to the death" fighters. When the fight was over, they found that about half were NOT from Iraq, but from Yemen, Sudan, Syria (there were two other countries, but I can't remember which ones).I wonder if these are some of the fedayeen. The other night, Dr. Bob A. was talking about them, saying the ones he had contact with that night were from Syria and Eqypt, I think it was, and maybe one other place, was it Jordan?

...All I could find was a map of Bagdad, Arizona.

Hey!
With the baby here I find I'm unable to lurk right now, let alone post. Finally got her interested in a puzzle long enough to post this.
I saw a promo for tonight's Saturday Night Live. They ARE going to have a Geraldo segment, prolly Benedict Arnett,too....and you just KNOW the opening skit has to be the ninny pressers at CENTCOM.
Should be a good one. Check it out.

Please forgive me for asking, but when I try to use CNN & NTV webcams, real player asks for registration. Is that right?

It's hard to tell whether the appreciation is genuine, or just a way of playing it safe with the new masters. But Lance Cpl. Brian Cole, 20, of Kansas City, Kan., was bowled over by the 7-year-old girl who handed him a Christmas card with this painstakingly written text: "Thank you for liberate us. And thank you for help us. You are a great army."
"That made my day, after sitting out in the heat all day. It made it seem worthwhile," said Cole.
Oooo! It's Becky Gomez with the video again!!!

I think it would be quite hysterical if they'd have the disinfo minister there saying: "It's all an illusion; they're not even 100 miles close to Baghdad." : )

The other night, Dr. Bob A. was talking about them, saying the ones he had contact with that night were from Syria and Eqypt, I think it was, and maybe one other place, was it Jordan?Reid wasn't specific, but I'd bet it was the fedayeen--non-Iraqi fedayeen have been encountered before--Basra, I think.
Arnott reported just a little while ago that members of the Republican Guard (the Special RG, I think) are leaving Baghdad. He reported seeing 25ish year old men walking along the roadway, being noncommittal when questioned & another instance of a husband, wife & child in a car, all crying, with two 25ish year old men sitting calmly in the back seat of the car. Ken Allard said, "that's not good."

There are two versions of Real Player - a free one (the lite version) and a Pro version that is not free. Make sure you have downloaded the free version. You should not be asked to register the free version.
