Since the air raid sirens no longer work .. they start the Chant "God is great".. then afterward "God is great all is clear"

What's really scary is you don't hear it coming.

If that couldn't wake the muezzin, nothing could.

I swear to God, I don't know how I'd survive without you guys :)

Anyone, anywhere who thinks the guys in charge of this operation or the troops in the field have at any time been overconfident has not been paying attention to this war. These lazy worry-wart pundits and armchair quarterbacks with their worse case scenarios help no one, don't come off as clever - just the opposite. (rant over) good rant. took me a while to get caught up i've been, um... in the shower.
i could watch just ollie, centcom, and bagcam, in that order, and be fine.
i ignore most everything else. major bob is good for an occasional pep talk, and shep is
always on the edge of sticking his foot in it, or wigging out.
i suppose my most common verbal admonition to this poor tv in front of me is
...just shut the hell up and show the pictures !

Why don't we have anyone on here who speaks Arabic and can translate these "Calls to Prayer" (I mean Calls to Arms) for us?
Other than the God is Great part, of course.

Acutally Shep is so excitable, I need a tranquilizer to watch him. He does make everything more interesting, though.

I can go look up the traditional calls to prayer...I don't know about ones they are doin' now. It is like the liturgy in the church, pretty standard with occaisional variations.

Maybe that was the sweet sound of the regime "exploding" from within
To: chantal7
I didnt hear a plane, nor the incoming, just the two large booms.Good point. Maybe THEY did it? Loaded up a donkey cart full of explosives and parked out back of the press hotel, ala Timothy McVeigh... ?? ;-)
To: commish
Wouldn't it be kewl if Saddam or whatever leadership they have was IN THE BUILDING where the Bagcam is! We could watch live as special ops completed the fall of Baghdad.
