I have trouble with the BagCam on my old home computer. The sound keeps breaking up. I could hook up my newer laptop, but it's just too much trouble.

Agreed. The better approach would have been to alert the media to not ask it.

How about you blame the reporter that asked the totally insenstive question?

I think Reese Witherspoon would be a good choice to play PFC Lynch.

Been making my coffee in those for years. Have you noticed if you have been getting a little arrogant lately? ;-)

Green, that's like blaming a dog for barking at the moon.
That's just what they do.
I did e-mail Fox, asking if they could tell me who the Ass Clown is.

Wynona Ryder she's a scene stealer.

Let's suppose that the family did know. Does anyone here think her family's response would have been much different than it was? The implication behind the question seemed to me to be asking how can you be so elated when there were 8 confirmed KIA's announced that were part of her unit. Now, it takes some kind of *ss*ole to even want to pose that question.Even though the press was warned, it's a standard "gotcha" question from the press. They want a reaction. They got it.
It reminded me of what one of the local TV stations did years ago. Two little kids were missing. After a search of the neighborhood, they found the kids in a dryer. The reporter stuck his mike into the face of the father and asked (you got it), "how do you FEEEELLLL?" The father punched the reporter, just cold-cocked him.
To: prairiebreeze
I don't think the press would have honored that request if it had been given. IF anything, they would have been drawing numbers to see who got to ask it first.
NO - our press needs to learn a little compassion when dealing with press conferences of this nature. These families of KIA and POW and MIA are not public figures, did not ask to be in the limelight and needed to be treated with a little more respect than any of them are being given.

"I'm an American soldier,too."
The whole article is just a tear-jerker. Those soldiers digging the graves....I sit here with two torn ligaments in my knee and feel guilty about whinning about it now. Can you imaging the pain of that woman. A special place in hell awaits those monsters.
To: debg
Had to turn her voluum down, could't take it for the third time.
To: overtaxed_canadian
Why not have them turn the tragedy into something positive? Because giving her life story to the same outlets that are hostile to our President and this war effort repulses me...Because Hollywood portrayals of people of faith have been negative and condemning...Because I don't need to see on the screen acted out what agonies she endured...
She has endured wounds that most of us cannot imagine. I don't want to see her story cheapened and end up on Lifetime Channel.
