Wasn't Ollie there first? I thought he reported before Greg did.

They have to communicate some way--we've taken away just about everything else. Flags are a bit primitive, but they do work for a while. It does mean the sender and receiver have to be in a line of sight and are exposed. It also means that we can read what they're sending & receiving, even if they're using code.

Well, Baghdad Bob has us surrounded, we aren't in Baghdad, he has taken back the airport...other than that, the coalition is still winning the war

Another administration official said that Saddam was "definitely alive" after the strike and appeared on Friday, March 21, wearing glasses because of concussive damage to the "capillaries of his retinas."Now that sounds believeable...

Actually, they have released names of 8 of the 9 soldiers that were found when they rescued Jessica.
Lots of bodies (Iraqi) were found in an abandoned Iraqi military fort
Soldiers digging up ground at an elementary school due to some info they have that WMD have been buried there
(will post more as I remember it)

I'm still catching up on the Day 16 thread wanting to read y'all's reactions to the Saddam walking around town movie we were subjected to yesterday. I had taken my mom out to lunch and we were stuck with CNN and no volume in the restaurant - pure torture.
I noticed your post yesterday describing the Nightline commentary about repressive dictators. This comment made so much sense:
"He discussed the clip of the first day that rations were distributed (the near riot dragging boxes off the trucks) when the crowd of mostly children began chanting praise to Saddam. He said that this arm-waving and chanting was the only way that they had been trained into showing enthusiasm for anything."
Thanks for posting it.

This morning on FN, the crawler is now referring to that "tunnel" as "an underground network that is being investigated".

there is no such thing as BATH..
there is BAH= basic allowance housing...and that is determined by the cost of living in the area..I get 900 a month from the army for rent. You don't get anything extra for # of dependents. having 1 child is the same as having 12 as far as they are concerned..so you get either BAH w/dep. or BAH w/o dep.
BAS= basic allowance for substanance
Seperate rats= pay for food if you don't live in the barracks, so BAS and sep rats are the same thing
seperation pay= 100 dollars for every month you are seperated from your spouse
Hazard duty pay and imminent danger pay...
HDP depends on where you are located...Jordan is 150, Kuwait city is 50 bucks.
Imminent danger pay is 150 a month

My ADHD is only 6- to 8-channel (8 on good nights and good coffee). How did you enhance yours (legally)?
The trick is in the audio balance - it must all be orchestrated perfectly in a surround sound layout so that you need only to move your head ever so slightly to refocus attention on whatever seems to be the most informative for the moment. What I REALLY need is a screen in screen TV. Course, my cerebellum might finally go into overload mode ... and my lovely wife will come downstairs to find me twitching on the floor sputtering incoherent syllable strings like "Helen Thomas...soooo hot ... Mmmmmm - Maddy Albright." Sometimes it feels like I could run the world from my familyroom - or maybe that's just the third margarita kicking in. ;-)
Ohhh - and a strong pot of Peet's coffee - Major Dickason's Blend.
