Wouldn't that be nice? However, Blair's social ideology is pretty much the opposite of mine; notice that in my piece I didn't praise that, I praised the fact that he grew a spine!

It would be nice, but, don't hold your breath. I'm only thankful that I live here, and not in an openly socialist country such as France.

I seriously doubt that the CIA was surprised to see the fall of Baghdad. They have had operatives there since before the beginning of the first Gulf war.

Marvin, here's your very belated ping in response to your email.

ValenB4, I thought you might like to read this. It's mine.

He has proven to the critics that he’s simple enough to believe in one truth, and stubborn enough to stick to his guns even when it hurts.
That’s what I call conviction.
That's what some of us also call I-N-T-E-G-R-I-T-Y.

Good piece.
He’s quieter, and, until about two years ago, seemed much, well, wimpier. He was a bit wishy-washy on domestic issues, and he wasn’t particularly outspoken on international ones.
It is the third way triangulation that had people considering him like Clinton. However, given that apt description, perhaps a better comparison would be with George Bush. George Herbert Walker Bush. He was quieter than Reagan, Clinton, and his son. He was often labelled a wimp. He was very wishy-washy on domestic issues. His strong suit was navigating international diplomacy, although he was not a bold leader in moving the world the way Reagan was, or his son is. And like Blair, he had an affinity for international organizations.

In the way he stood with America through the Iraq crisis, one can find evidence that George W. is not the only Anglo leader who learned from the mistakes of George H. W.

Get an editor, Billy.

Third way triangulation is mostly what caused people to consider him like Clinton.

Blair's detractors are using specious arguments just as the doofus dems are with attacking Bush because the WMD's haven't been found yet. Cook accused the leader (Blair) of having no evidence that Saddam had a delivery means for any weapons he may have possessed ... ignoring of course the nexus of Saddam and Iraqi terrorist training camps (operated to train Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and Egyptian Jihad members, and erhaps even al Qaeda member seeking to learn how to take over airliners with only knives, which Robin Cook had clear and continuous evidence of through his high position of access to the intel from MI 5 and 6!

Blair showed real guts. I think Americans should send Tony a thank you note.

Blair is the incredibly shrinking man because he lied just like Bush. Between the three of them, Chirac will be the one still in power come 2005.

And where do you stand in the line to run noses up Robin Cook's butt? Answer the first question, little nettle: What lie did Prssident Bush make that you also believe Blair made?

He's a fellow writer.

And, Marvin...he's not really a prick. He just acts like it at times. He's trying to get a rise out of me. :-)
