10-4 even Greg Kelly blocked the window because he said you could tell where they are
Wow!
This whole advance on this city tells me that the superior air power has really shown its usfulness in this war.
Now if we could only stop shooting our own planes out of the sky.

A few minutes ago the nytimes.com had a breaking headline about a special-ops raid inside Baghdad (no story). When I refreshed, it went away. Anyone know anything about this?

More insanity from Europe:
Austria's Haider offers Iraqi minister asylum Haider, a long-time friend of Foreign Minister Naji Sabri and a harsh critic of U.S. policy in the Middle East, was asked if Sabri could count on refuge in Carinthia, where Haider is governor, if the Iraqi leadership is forced to flee. "There is always room in my home for a friend," Haider told the Austrian magazine News. The two have been friends since Sabri was ambassador in Vienna in the 1990s.

I think you're right, Chris. David Bloom is also very near Baghdad. He said they could be in the center of the city in less than an hour. Bloom also said they expected more resistance and didn't get it. The RG units are dissolving away.

. . . and you call it PMS why? Referring to MSNBC, some folks put a lower-case "p" in front, "pMSNBC." The gesture indicates the network's tendencey toward . . . however you want to characterize it. Moody, inconsistent, whiney, happy/sad, bitchy. Subject to outbursts that aren't meant to be taken seriously.

Good morning Situation Room!
Thanks SG, for the Arnot recap - I hate I missed the live feed but your description is an excellent portrayal of the events.
And once again, RC, I'm in your debt for the Centcom briefing recap. Superb as always.

"Could be in Baghdad". We're not going in yet. We have flanked the RG and are moving in to surround them so they can't escape into the city. We'll have to finish them off first and then Franks has something up his sleeve. The Pentagon says don't expect a rush into the city.

We must be killing a TON of terrorists in this war.....EXCELLENT!
