Reuters question asking why a "major link in telecommunications would have been left for seven days."
Answer: timing and effect are taken into account.
Miss Marple thinks that there are reasons they don't want to make public. And good for them, I say!

Is it true (as I read somewhere...sorry, I've forgotten where) that Georgie Stephanopolus left the war zone because it was "boring"? That was the implication yesterday by the NY Mag reporter.

Totally stupid question: Do you now consider the paramilitary groups to be more dangerous because you are calling them something else now?

Chinese guy asking about our casualties. If they exceed 150, the number from Gulf I, will the coalition be in trouble. Sigh....
To: mewzilla
Something just occurred to me. If these briefings don't contain much info, it's not because Gen. Brooks won't say anything. It's because these presstitutes are asking such biased and/or moronic questions. It seems that most members of the press think that news is gotcha moments, rather than facts and information. It's annoying isn't it?
To: Orlando
It is my understanding that satellites are illegal in Iraq, Therefore, if we took out local television, which I believe we did, then we have limited the amount of time we see them.
Also, they have apparently had MULTIPLE broadcast capabilities, so after we bombed the first one, we had to wait until they set up again and then take that one out.
Now, please calm down.

Almost every one of these "reporters" are not asking questions...........they are using the podium to make a statement, and not necessarily fact. They're so lazy and have no imagination or curiosity. There is no distinction in their minds between subjective and objective. I wonder what it would take to get press credentials for a FReeper network? Anyone know?
To: Timeout; The Wizard
Seems CENTCOM has decided these briefings aren't really intended to provide new information, just to embarrass the press. And their strategy is working! Maybe General Franks decided he found more intelligence from the peasants of the Kuwaiti/Iraqi people and would rather answer their questions than spend another minute in the presence of the maroonic reporters. : )

jerk off question about: are these scumbags making you afraid.....answer eat chit

That was the NBC reporterette who showed up for the first day's briefing in the tight red v-necked sweater. Haven't seen her in that again.
To: Miss Marple
yes, Iraqis have redundancy operations built into their communications

Haven't seen her in that again. She was there yesterday wearing a tight blue sweater. You missed her!

We find that this administration does very little in a willy-nilly, fly-by-the-seat-of-the-pants manner.
I don't think you have enough intel to be shouting STUPID.
