Thanks,
It's funny how the word "sodomy" does not appear in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

There is a reason for that.

"This is the outline of those things which we have deemed proper matter for public instruction: to it, however, the Pastor will add the decrees of the holy Synod of Trent against adulterers, and those who keep harlots and concubines; omitting many other species of immodesty, and lust, of which each individual is to be admonished privately, as circumstances of time and person may require." (Catechism of the Council of Trent)

When the world was more sane, the Catholic Church kept these dark sins in the dark. Her tomes on Moral Theology left the portions on unnatural sins untranslated from the original latin. Those who did not need to know about them didn't. Those who comitted them were well aware of the rank evil they had entered into.

Nor did it allow women to vote.
But it did have slavery.

"how does...the Constitution prohibit a state from enacting sodomy laws?"

Keep reading the words in the 9th amendment.

Let me help.

"...shall not deny or disparage others retained by the people."

Let me give you a hint.

Wouldn't personal "privacy" be a right retained by people.?

Read the concurring opinion in Griswold v Connecticut written by Justice Goldberg.

I hope this helps you start thinking from the "presumption of liberty."

"God also specifically said--Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

Witch is an eggsample of God's Law directly contravened by our 1st Amendment. WE now suffer witches to live.

Go figure

Heh. Three months ago, and I don't remember writing my own stuff. Thanks for the memories.

The obvious answer is to stop spending the money, not to ban the activity.

Obviously.
