ABC is saying on their evening news that a farmer may have brought down that apache with a bolt action rifle....Givme a break

There is not much coverage on this story.
UP to 22 marines are feared dead and 14 are wounded after the bloodiest battle of the war. US marines say they have taken the southern town of Nasiriya, an exchange that cost them dearly but won them two important bridges across the Euphrates river.

I can't take it anymore!!! CNN does these leads with "America Speaks" and then shows all these vile protesters. And Wolfie headlines with "Protesters growing daily" WHAT is wrong with these people??!!?? I called, but only could leave a voice mail. Do they have no conscience???

Excellent news on the parents of the Apache pilot. I pray he gets home safe so he can watch the tapes of his parents being brave on network TV.

I think the rumbling is just wind on the microphone. Weather channel has no current obs for Baghdad. I'll see what else I can find.

The wind has been like that all week. You used to be able to hear traffic go by but they have toned down the gain on the mic because of the wind.

His parents are being very brave and his mom took a good shot at the protestors saying how disrepectful they are and how they hurt the families of personnel who want to be over there.

Get a dish that allows you to get Fox. I gave up on cable because they wouldn't get Fox. Best investment I ever made, and I told the cable company exactly why I cancelled.
I live in Dan Burton's old district, and telling me that there was no market for Fox was a LIE.

"farmer may have brought down that apahche"
That has already been "shot down by the Pentagon"

Chris Matthews is insane.
He has McCain as a guest, who to his credit admonished the near hysterical Matthews that this was a time to remain steadfast.
Anyway, Matthews just asked McCain to opine if Bush is closer to Johnson or Nixon. Then answered his own question by saying "I know you'll say Nixon because you like Nixon".
Evidently Matthews is settling in to the view this will be another Vietnam.

Good for her!

"farmer may have brought down that apahche" Actually, it's a better explanation. The famous Republican Guard can't do squat against us but some dumbass with a rifle knocks down an Apache.

Why I don't go to any other networks any more. Chris Matthews is certifiable. His brother (so he says) is a Republican. I hope his brother punches him in the nose.

I was listening to Libby Collins this morning on WAIT. She had on a someone protesting the war. (they are not for peace) This protester said ''If Saddam had weapons of mass destruction he SHOULD use them now.'' I couldn't listen to the rest of the interview as I just got to work. Yes I did leave a voice mail with Libby to tell her what I thought of her guest and yes I was polite. (it was hard though)
