Mr. Blair and the British do deserve our support and good wishes. I sent off a note, and I also mentioned reading Queen Elizabeth's speech to the troops and being impressed. Read it here this morning and it was great.

I'm not from your country but I wanted to send a note of thank you for standing by us when it was more popular to turn your back on us. Americans do not forget who their friends and enemies are.

You sir are a Class act and I will be proud to salute the Union Jack the next time I see it. I served in the American Marine Corps for most of my adult life, but I've not seen real courage until I saw what you have done over the last few days.
