Peace activist's parents call for U.S. investigation (Bulldozer lady) They asked for it. Yes, the US government ought to investigate the parents.

I think there needs to be a sticker placed on the side of the Cat for every "human shield" taken out.

The bulldozer driver could have turned the bulldozer off and had her arrested. If he had seen her.

This reminds me of signs on trucks "If you can't see my mirrors, I can't see you." Same thing applies with heavy equipment.

Investigation conclusion; Liberal daughter that said she was a pacifist became active. Stood in front of running bulldozer. Since she was a clutz, she tripped over her own feet, fell & got run over. Moral of the story? Don't try to stand down a bulldozer, or pet a rattlesnake either, both can kill you!

So in your mind, the bulldozer driver is 100% at fault?

If he had seen her.
An investigation may reveal that to be the case. If so, I would defend the bulldozer driver. He/she would probably be distraught too, unlike the people on this thread so happy to see an American civilian dead.

I don't think what happened to her is funny in the least. Frankly, her death just crushed me.

So what. Who cares. I'm saying she didn't deserve to die, not that she wasn't stupid, naive, foolish...
To: Egregious Philbin
Then she could have been deported. Gee, that is assuming that the US would want her back.

My letter to Senator Fitzgerald:
Craig and Cynthia Corrie of Charlotte, N.C., are the parents of Rachel Corrie, the girl who died Monday in a bulldozer accident in Gaza, Israel. It has come to my attention that her parents are calling for a US investigation into this matter. I agree.
Therefore, Please introduce a measure to fully investigate the International Solidarity Movement that Rachel Corrie belonged to, to determine it's connections to terrorism and/or terrorist groups. Also Evergreen State College, where she was a student, should be investigated for not only it's ties to terrorist groups, but to find out how much Federal Funding provided for education is being diverted into supporting terrorism.
Thank you for your prompt attention in this matter.

The parents should be charged with fellony child abuse for raising a daughter so warped and brain dead that a 3 or 4 mph bulldozer could nail her.
She ws beyond saving, good ridance!

First off, I laugh at any idiot who removes him/herself from the gene pool by an act of stupidity. I don't consider this person an American "civilian" since she was in a foreign land, burning and ripping American flags in front of, and with, people who have committed acts of violence against innocents.
She was, in this case, a combatant, regardless of her "peaceful" intentions. She willingly placed herself in this position and those who would place blame solely on the bulldozer operator are very misguided. Unfortunately, this nut didn't fall very far from the tree.

"Corrie's parents, Craig and Cynthia Corrie of Charlotte, N.C., called on Israel to "cease harassment" of protesters such as their daughter, who oppose what they call illegal demolitions of Palestinian homes."
Only a liberal could walk onto a live battlefield and then complain that they are being harassed. The driver of the bulldozer had to keep going whether he saw her or not. If he had stopped then the Israeli army would find a protester standing in front of every vehicle they had every time they were in an engagement. I doubt they will have to deal with too many protesters standing in front of their vehicles from here on out. That is the way wars are fought and hopefully these spoiled kumbaya protesters are starting to figure that out.

In our area, Brian Baird is publically sqwaking about investigations. I plan to call his ofice and DEMAND he do what you suggest. We're in total agreement on this.
