The GOP is not colorblind anymore. We have lost that battle.

I know what you mean. I have mixed emotions about this stuff, too. I've worked for the GOP for quite awhile now, and we always had a *few* Blacks who were treated like everyone else (according to their skills, interest, etc)
But many Blacks just didn't feel comfortable with the GOP. Now that there is a Black GOP organization, there are quite a few more Blacks working for the GOP state-wide. Some of them move over to work with the regional party organizations, and some don't yet.

It's sad that we have to do this to attract minority voters, but the other way wasn't working.
