I appreciate most of what Pat has to say, but this preoccupation with the "amen corner" is borderline obsessive.

Pat (Sieg Heil) Buchanan has predictably returned to his anti-Jewish venom, blaming it all on the Jews. If you recall, he repeated this same anti-Semitic slander in the runup to the Gulf War where he blamed Israel's "Amen corner" in then-President Bush's government.
Buchanan is an anti-Semite who loathes Jews, hates Israel and opposes any and every action that might even indirectly aid the Israeli cause.
He is nothing more than an isolationist neo-Nazi.
Want to make Buchanan REALLY mad... remind him Der Fuhrer and his Nazis lost the war.

Yes, Buchanan ruins a few good points in this article by indulging in his Jewish power obsessions.
He is correct in pointing out that the Bush administration is chock full of warmongers and chickenhawks, though.

What do you base this on? Any proof at all? If you, or any other PJB disciple has any proof, cough it up. I already know that you people DO NOT have any evidence, but to see what you post that so easily proves it to you would be interesting.....

What I'd like to know is just exactly why is it that whatever Pat Turn On The Showers & Fire The Ovens says carries any relevancy to anything. He's a nobody - a has been reporter with an attitude. What elected office or leadership position has he ever held? His opinion should carry the same weight as someone else as important as he is, like some other washed up self proclaimed celebrity. Ross Perot with no money, or Lew Rockwell are fair analogies.
Hell, Koffi Annan is more relevant than Pat - those who hang on his every word should realize how shallow and simple they appear.

the 9-11 terrorists didn't attack America cause they hated Israel;Yes and no. They attacked us because we have supported Israel with massive foreign aid and votes and vetos in the UN. Arabs see the relative sizes of the two countries and assume Israel is doing our bidding. They do not understand that in a democracy an organized minority can wield great influence.

Turkey supports Israel. Why didn't OBL attack Turkey? Granted, it may have a SMALL bit to do with it, but Islamic nuts only see Muslims and infidels. The idea that the exclusive or biggest reason they attacked the US is our support for Israel is BS.....

You need read no further than the name "Kristol" to know that Buchanan doesn't know what he's talking about.
Bill Kristol has ZIPPO influence on this White House.

Pat Buchanan's conspiratorial tendencies turn uglier the older he gets.
His old man, a supposedly devout Catholic, died blaming the Jews for the travails of the world.
Like father, like son.

Yes and no. They attacked us because . . .I won't bother quoting the rest because it's complete and utter bovine feces.

"American and Israel IS [sic] facing the SAME enemy. Its just too bad that Pat Buchanan and his fellow paleo-cons choose to ignore what is in front of them. And just in case they think that we are fighing Israel's war, here's a news flash for them: the 9-11 terrorists didn't attack america because cause they hated Israel, they attacked america because their leaders told them that america was the enemy"
Two points:
1) The US and Israel are not fighting the same enemy. We are fighting a band of Islamic maniacs...the Israelis are locked in a tribal war with the entire Palestinian people. While Osama's crowd has no legitimate grievance against the US, the Palestinians have plenty of legitimate grievances against Israel. Every civilized person on the planet believes that Osama is evil. Most of the people on the planet have sympathy with the Palestinians, even if they disagree with some factions' terrorist tactics. This false equation of the situations is one of the underlying propaganda falsehoods behind this upcoming Iraqi war.
2) While you may say that the 9-11 terrorists didn't attack america because they hate Israel...that certainly isn't what they say. Osama clearly stated numerous times that his reasons for the attack were:
1) Our support of Israel
2) Our troops in Saudi Arabia
3) The sanctions against Iraq
While I deny that any of these are legitimate justification for what he did, your assertion that our support of Israel was unrelated to the events of 9-11 is clearly false.
