There aren't enough pastors in the Anglican Church today that actually believe in God to provide moral support to a single congregation at a funeral.
But it will probably work out, since almost nobody else in the UK still believes in God either.

"...briefed the heads of Englands 28 strategic health authorities to identify regional burns and plastic surgery units near to airports to cope with victims of biological or chemical attack, The Times has learnt."
Doesn't Britan have military hospital facilities? Are there not medical facilities closer to the battle area?
Something doesn't seem right with this statement....

The guidelines bear similarities to those issued before the last Gulf War but they also reflect changes in society, with fewer couples being married, and changes in communications technology. An extra emphasis has been placed on the urgency of offering assistance to loved ones of those killed or injured. The guidelines say: It is imperative that the system is kept rapid, streamlined, straightforward and simple. From: revgumby@stralph.anglican.org.uk

Exactly my thoughts. England is a Godless society as data shows and they say is true. I pray God will send real Christin workers there if there is war. Also, much prayer is needed to uphold Blair during this time, he is standing almost alone and the burden must be great.

Telegraphing that something gonna happen...
Tuesday or Wednesday?
I ain't buying the end of the month scenario.
My brother came by and bitched about this taking so long(he normally don't say anything about world affairs unless I start the conversation) so I know the pressure is probably on the prez to get this done. Strange day.

If the British situation is anything like ours, they have limited military beds which are meant to handle war casualties from the front. Those beds are not meant to handle civilian casualities.
At present, there is no structure to handle civilian casualties in the military hospital system. Worse yet, the US dismantled much of the military hospital bed space during the Clinton Administration.

Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld are way ahead of us, they are not bumbling through this, we haven't a clue. Trust them. I do.

But it will probably work out, since almost nobody else in the UK still believes in God either. Maybe its worth checking the facts before the same old misinformed rubbish is trundled out and presented.
A census in 2001 found that the UK is overwhelmingly Christian, 71.6% stating they were Christian, 15.5% stating they had no religion, 7.3% didnt state a religion, 5.6% other religions.
If the majority of people state they are Christian, then how can they NOT believe in God? Could the picture you paint of Britain be as accurate as the picture Hollywood paints of America?

Britain is probably very similar to America in that the liberal/secular-humanist/feminazi/atheist/hedonist types saturate the media and gov't but the regular people are more normal.
To: pram
Your right of course. The problem is people tend to repeat what they see or hear, after a while it creates a myth which eventually become accepted as fact.

That's the whole point of propaganda. And "polls". So sheeple will think - "Gosh, everyone else believes (X). I guess I'll believe (X) too otherwise I won't be popular/mainstream/accepted/normal."
(Hey, Kiwi! I have a couple of good friends from NZ!!)
