My photos are on this thread on comment #182. It was a wonderful rally, reminded me of the Oct 1998 MFJ rally in DC!

Petroni,
It was a great day in Houston! A couple of bus loads came downtown from Sugar Land and Mrs. Curmudgeon and I brought another couple and our daughter in our gas guzzling SUV. We were a little late but could see y'all across the plaza.
I had called bobbyd the night before about meeting us but didn't get an answer.
WELL DONE!

we have seen the tactics of the left first-hand, and they are not respecting our first amendment rights in this cases. 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment... to the Left, the only "right" you have is to obey them.
Understand, this isn't a civil disagreement to the Left. It's all-out war and the victor claims the spoils.

I'm not sure I'm adding to the "thread" or not, but "Uncle Sam 27" was there too. I'm an old member who has rejoined. Saw the freeper sign and realised I needed to come home! I used to be just "Uncle Sam" but someone stole my name while I was gone.

Thanks for the input! :o) It was wonderful meeting such a nice group of people. This was actually my first rally. A very good friend of mines Mother is a very active Republican - has been for years. I had pretty much figured I would be going. When her Mother emailed me telling me she was iced in and couldn't get to Houston (from Dallas) for the rally, I figured I had no excuse to not show up. Let's just say - she helped push me out the door and glad she did! I will certainly attend some more rallies!

Just call me fashionably late. In one word - WOW! As much as Pat Gray and Chris Baker tried to down play their part in the success of this rally they deserve major kudos for keeping it promoted every day. It was great to see so many of our local FReepers.
My two cents on Sheila Jackson Lee - She made her appearance to be the thorn that gets the media attention, knowing that the not so friendly reception would get a mention in every report. Yes, she had a police escort into the rally - she arrived in the middle of the event and that was the only way to easily get to the stage. I didn't see it but I would bet that Tom DeLay was escorted through the crowd, too.
I was disappointed in my pictures. I must have unknowingly changed a camera setting. Fortunately many other great pictures have been posted and thanks to all of y'all for that. I'll just toss in a couple of them to prove I was there.
Re-Joyce!

LOL! I saw the rally on FNC and knew you two were there!
To: lonestar
Re-Joyce is doing great, Lonestar. She called me after I returned home and we had a nice chat. We were both still excited about the great turn-out and had to wind down.
AND SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHAT ELSE THE FREEPERS HAD PLANNED FOR HOUSTON, Tehee....

I wonder how Sheila liked her "welcome" being booed by ten thousand people?
We FREEPERS had fun drinking some beers after the rally!
I wonder how Sheila got home? maybe....broom

Dear KKK.... Me and Mr. Humi stopped along I-10, in front of Taste of Texas, waited awhile but you didn't show up. We finally drove off as I wiped a tear from my eye.....
This old place just ain't what it used to be since you moved out.
