Hatch alluded to a legislative way to force the Dems to abide by the constitution. What way? I'm just trying to think.... open question to anybody who can answer.
By making the Dems have an old fashioned filibuster and "break 'em" down that way?

Hahaha, Orrin has called them unconstitutional obstructors, implied racism, said that they obtained illegal documents, and it yielding to fellow Republicans so they can ask leading intro questions, and he's then bashing the dems over the head. He waved the big ass binder full of anti-democrat op-eds around when they brought up to pro-democrat editorials. This is f'ing great.

Hatch reading an editorial saying this filibuster by the Dems is like the movie, "Groundhog Day".

Orin is allowing the Spirit to come forth from his soul and knock the demonrats into the sewer. Its good to see a Godly man boldly grab the horns of the altar, and then smite the Philistines. Long overdue.

I know, I'm dying here. I can't believe I'm seeing this. Our Pubbies grew some brass nards. And it's about time. It's way past time that these guys take the dims to task on all their BS and set the record straight and call them liars when they are lying!
That's what happens when you have a prez that instills some backbone in these guys

My opinion of Sen. Hatch has gone up considerably. I think he has their butt nailed with illegal documents - Durbin and Hairy Reed better pack it in and quit while they can still get out with their scalps. Rush is going to have a field day tomorrow!

If Orrin Hatch is nominated, the Senate will vote overwhelmingly to confirm him. There is no way Democratic Senators would filibuster a sitting member of the Senate. That just isn't done.
FDR's first apppointment to the Supreme Court, Senator Hugo Black, was a new dealer and a liberal from the South. All of the other Southern Senators hated him because he was a liberal, and didn't want him on the court. FDR knew that they had to confirm him -- the sense of collegiality in the Senate is too strong. (After they confirmed him, it turned out he was a member of the KKK, but that's another story).

I Love It!
give me one substantive reason for the request for these millions of documents! (said very forcefully with passion, and a tad bit of anger)
Orrin, you are beautiful tonight.

Agreed. And the fun of this is watching the dems grasping at straws trying to keep their pretense up. They're exposed and prone and Hatch has their juggler in his teeth.

I dunno. I think Schumie might be such an a$$hole that he would filibuster Hatch, because Hatch is a moral man from a conservative state.

Sen. Hatch is starting to look and sound a little tired. Makes it easier to take off the gloves and say what he really feels. He's always respectful but this is a fight to the finish for him.

I would hope that would be the case, but John Ashcroft was sure dumped on by the Democrats during his nomination hearing, and barely squeaked through on the vote. The dems have shown no compassion or anything in the past to make me think that Orrin Hatch's nomination would be any different. Teddy Kennedy would prattle on about 'my distinguished friend' and then trash Hatch. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic.

Exactly right!! Dubya has inspired every Republican in Washington. Every man Jack (and every woman Jill) of them knows that the only reason they are in the majority is because Dubya put his stones on the line during the midterm campaign and led the to victory. Now Dubya is ringing the bell and these guys are responding.
I for one have complete confidence in Dubya. I loved Ronbo, but Dubya is the most powerful Republican President since TR.

All the really astute fooks in Nevada will dump H Ried, a major league bozo for the world to see. What a complete jerk and totally out of focus with the great State of Nevada. He must be related to Gov. Gray Davis, Ca. Both have redefined the word "fool" IMO.
