What, and miss the chance to have some fun and possibly even take one or two of `em to the cleaners?
You gotta be kidding.

May I humbly suggest (see, I'm talking Lagosian already) that you post this on http://www.scamorama.com - they have pages of this stuff, with these Lads "on the hook." It's great stuff. I wasted so much time today reading that website! It is hysterical! :)

You should really inform the FBI about them... I had heard something about these scammers on the news a while back. Hardly a day goes by when I don't get an e-mail from one of those scammers. I think a lot of other folks here get a lot of e-mail from them as well. Somehow, I think the FBI is well aware of these scammers. The only way to arrest them, however, is to get them over here.

And I've been merely erasing Mr. Uche's e-mail. You've received e-mail from Uche as well? That guy gets around!

I suppose. But according to that scam site that the other freeper posted, it seems the authorities over there are trying to bust 'em too. It's possible the FBI could help -- heck the guy seemed to have given you a phone number!

OK OK OK.........got it.
From now on, post each email from this crooked idiot as you get it and let your fellow FReepers help compose a response. Then you pick and choose the suggestions as you wish and reply to him accordingly.
This would be SO much fun. Can we can we can we?????
To: PJ-Comix
I'm not sure how many, but every several days over the past month or so I have gotten them.
To: PJ-Comix
Happygal and I suggest you try the following counter-scam:
Dear Mr. Uche: I have come across a further business opportunity in which you may be interested in investing. As you know, not all nations are in compliance with the Kyoto Protocols on the environment; this implies that their emissions of carbon dioxide are out of line with UN requirements.
In response to this, and to the need for fresh air in developed countries which breach this protocol, my partner in Ireland, Mr. Seamus O'Blarney, are bottling fresh Irish air to be imported to the United States, the biggest violator of the Kyoto treaty. This will also be a welcome addition to the highly lucrative designer air market.
Mr. O'Blarney has financial statements from Goldman Sachs and other respected firms which indicate a return on investment of up to 25% in the first year. However, Mr. O'Blarney will require initial capital of $10 million to penetrate the American market. As a respected business colleague, I would welcome your participation in this investment.
Please advise if you require any further information from me or Mr. O'Blarney.
Yours sincerely, etc. etc.
Regards, Ivan
