The truth is that if Bush is successful in deposing Saddam Hussein and establishing some kind of democracy in the region, the New World Order may never come to fruition and that is what the opposition to the war in Iraq is all about.

It will at least be set back a little bit.

Those who called themselves anti-Globalists who were organized to protest the World Bank and IMF segued straight into this anti-"war" movement.

Where are all those gas-masked, black neckerchief "anarchists"? Dressed much more modestly and giving each other high-fives as the hordes of willing dupes and supportive media now are taking up the class war.

I will acknowledge a person's 'anti-war' viewpoint when he asks Saddam for compliance, and only then.

I hope future historians will rank Carter with Quisling, and Clinton with Laval.

Thanks to Peggy for shining the light on Clinton's and Carter's stupid, inappropriate, graceless, disloyal behavior, and putting it in historical perspective.

My understanding is that Peggy Noonan now writes regularly for WSJ Online, and infrequently for the print WSJ version, after appearing once a week in print. It's a shame they moved her, and I suspect it's to generate hits at that website.

Poppy may make an exception, and I hope he does!

I don't care if the lefties will say he's defending his son, H. W. should say something about this disgraceful behavior by his fellow ex-presidents. It would be better if an ex-Dem president could issue the rebuke, but of course they're the offenders.

The motives of Clinton and Carter are easy enough to divine: They both desperately want to be head of the UN (titular head of the world, in their view), and there ain't no way to do that without bashing the US

"Mr. Carter is a very nice, confused man of considerable vanity."

C'mon Peggy! I'll give you the considerable vanity part. But nice? No way! He's a mean man whose statements, for decades, have shown no largeness or generosity of spirit toward Americans who do not share his hard left politics; or to America itself, for that matter. He has gone around the world, sidling up to despicable tyrants, and apologizing for America's "sins."

Playing the compassionate carpenter doesn't make up for that.

You're right it was the anarchists that started the anti-war movement in this country. I should have qualified my statement to say that the anti-war movement was opposing free enterprise, not just supporting the New World Order.

Clinton and Carter both have been a disgrace. In Clinton's case it is to be expected, of course. In Carter's, well, as Peggy says, he's long been a thoroughly "confused" man, and his confusion seemingly gets worse as he ages.

In Bill's case, it will most likely be an STD.
HAHA! I thought he was looking sickly lately.

Syphilis Symptoms: Sometimes none at all, but can be detected by a blood test. Painless sores on the penis, mouth or anus. Rash on the body. Flu-like symptoms. If left untreated Syphilis can cause mental illness, blindness heart disease ... ---- Sounds a bit like ol' Billy Jeff these days, doesn't it?

Sure does! I wonder if "hot-air syndrome" is a symptom as well?

Me gusta mucho su nombre!
