Clooneys' father Nick Clooney was a local T.V. newsman/personality in the Cincinnati area. He also writes a column for the Cincinnati Post, and about a year ago, did a large article that said Bill Clintoon was the GREATEST PRESIDENT ever!! So that's where Georgie boy gets his political views, it's all in the family!" That 'splains it: defective genes! 119 posted on 02/23/2003 11:02 AM PST by cake_crumb (UN Resolutions = VERY expensive, very SCRATCHY toilet paper.) [

Yep. His father Nick Clooney is a dyed in the wool leftist, liberal, Democrat or die , type of person. the DemoncRATS can DO NO WRONG!, according to THE CLOONEYS!

You almost have to give Looney credit for this. To make a new Solaris that was even more interminable and mindnumbingly dull than the Soviet original requires some kind of twisted pseudogenius.

You got that right. I had to watch that film for a class a few years ago. Attendence was very strict, so I couldn't get out of it. I don't remember anything about the movie, just that I seriously considered shoving my pencil through my jugular vein just so I could leave.

Isn't it fuuny that the Hollywood types only seem to speak up when a Republican is in office?

Yeah, great point, its only evil when a Republican does it. However, I do recall a FEW hollywood types being against bombing Kosovo, I think it was Sarandon and her boy toy. But the vast majority save their principles for when they can use them against their political enemies.

Since the byline on this article says Berlin, I must assume that he is again criticizing the USA on foreign soil. I have seen this over and over again by these Hollywood types, the criticism is always done off US soil and either in Europe or, in Sean Penn's case, in the Middle East itself. This is really beginning to burn me. If you have something to say, then at least do it at home, not outside the country.

Revoke the passports of these idiots!

"We can't beat anybody anymore."--

Georgette Clooney is projecting. He really means that he can't beat anybody at the box office anymore.

Rosemary's music is awesome-I bought Her "Brazil CD" last
year featuring John Pizzarelli. Don't know what her
politics were, but she couldn't have been anywhere the
basket case that George is.

Clooney, who won fame for his leading role in long-running hospital drama "ER", has also appeared in films including "Batman and Robin", "The Perfect Storm" and "Brother Where Art Thou?".

What? No mention of 'Return of the Killer Tomatoes''? ;-)

I agree. I think the SECOND their sorry a...es lifts off
from American soil that they should be charged with aid and
comfort to the enemy and their citizenship revoked. Let
them go live in France with that other American hater
Robert Altman.

said Clooney, who starred in a film about the 1991 Gulf War "Three Kings" that took a dark look at the war to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.

I think they mean, said Clooney, who starred in a film about the 1991 Gulf War "Three Kings" that denigrated our servicemen and made them out to be nothing but greedy opportunists...

Speaking of beating, I'd like to go a couple rounds with pretty boy. Just for grins.

No... see, you need to do an OBJECT LESSON...

"Hey George, ya know that dictator you support? Well, we are going to do to you exactly what Saddam does to those who disagree with him... So, now that I have your attention, look at the ceiling... ya see those pipes? they are filled with acid. At random intervals, it will leak, in a different place every so often. In order to keep from having yoru flesh burned through by it, you must constantly keep moving around... Have fun! I'll be back to check on you in a few days!"

Then, in a few days, see if he STILL wants to support Saddam...

As I said, I read Rosie's autobiography and she basically admitted to being an FDR-JFK Democrat.

I think the big difference between her, and brother Nick (who was about 10 years younger than her) and nephew Georgie, is that she came through World War II as a teenager, meaning she pretty much was aware of what was going on around her and had some concept of America standing up and doing what was necessary, at great sacrifice, to stamp out evil in the world.

I'm sure you'll find some FDR-JFK Democrats who came through World War II who might be wrong on political issues in our eyes, but I doubt you'll find very many who'll wantonly and deliberately ca-ca on their country in public like Georgie did.

That's the amazing thing here ... CLOONEY CAN'T ACT HIS WAY OUT OF 16 WET PAPER BAGS! He's been Johnny One-Note since "E.R." ... all he can play is the smirking rogue who for some unknown reason is irresistable to women. And if he tries to go beyond that range, he's obviously out of his league and WAY over his head.

I mean, he's as big a dufus on political issues as Georgie and I wish he'd button his lip too, but give the devil his due, Martin Sheen can actually act.

And Sarandon and Robbins' brainless political utterings have never stopped me from watching "Bull Durham."

Notice that all these hollyweird leftists make their statement ou of the country. If they had real guts and courage they would do them here. Hey George, be brave and go on the Fox Nes Chanel and make these statements if you really want your meesage to be heard.

Good observation Hobblemaster.
