Thank you for accepting my apology. Your choice of words struck me as very humorous and it was the type of response that people who know me would easily accept as a joke. Not so with someone I don't know. Hopefully this exchange will save others from my bizarre sense of humor as I have learned a valuable lesson, embarrassment notwithstanding.

actually, one of your points could be taken seriously.
If this dog is so easily riled by a punk with a cat, perhaps he lacks the proper training and discipline, and is a danger to other members of the public also.
Cops are trained to, while on duty, refrain from reacting to insults, taunts, etc. If the dog is considered an officer, it should be held to the same standard, no?
