I liked the show ---and for the same reasons, Roseanne. Less than perfect people with less than perfect kids but they stick together through thick and thin.

I'd have to say it was one of my all time favorites! Another one was "Sledgehammer", goofy but right. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

There is imperfect and there is pathological. The sitcom Roseanne was pathological. Nothing there to praise. Unless you find sneers intrinsically funny, Roseanne is quite simply the least funny person ever to masquerade as a comedian.

Remember that classic Christmas episode with Sam Kinnison ?
It was a sendup of "It's a Wonderful Life" with Sam Kinnison as the guardian angel showing a despondent Al what his family would be like if he had never been born (virginal, refined Kelly, highbrow refined Bud, June Cleaverish wife...).

The Nudie Bar! No Ma'am! Chicken lips!
E! ran a really good 'behind the scenes' story on the series a while back.
