Two come to mind immediately.
First a comedy--Cary Grant's classic, "Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House." I'll bet not many of you have seen it, but you can't take your eyes off it once it starts.
Second, a drama--"To Sir With Love." It explains more about the problems of teaching than any film or book ever could.

The Glenn Miller Story. Even though the time line is a bit skewered, it still is a great movie about a great man.

Before that, I would have had to waffle and equivocate, and probably give my top five or top ten movies. Not anymore.
