I am sure that there might be some other possible ways to do this, does anybody have any suggestions?

another thing is to write directly to the US government on the same day, to show your support for the war.

This will work. I have posted this on many other sites. I am quite sure that we can counter this little campaign with overwhelming success.

Question: If we use their site to make comments, won't they say that X-number sent messages and then claim what a huge success it was? The recipients will no doubt not actually read the formula messages. We would just be feeding their totals even tho the messages were supportive of the President.

I thought about that.

But this is my solution to that problem.

I have contacted Sen Kay Bailey Hutchinson and told her about this initiative. I told her that not all of the faxes coming in will be anti-war. This in itself will damper the results of the virtual march.

As long as people use the site to show their support for war, there is no way that the site moveon.org will be able to authenticate their results. It will be completely skewed.

I would probably send a letter to your senator as well and let them know they will be recieving a fax from a supporter.

Does this help?

Read all about it at The Hamster, and more than you'll find at the Democrat Underground.

I have some other ideas:

1. Flood the switchboards of NBC and its affiliates when "West Wing" is on.

2. Contact the advertisers on that show and tell them that they are indirectly supporting an anti-American traitor.

3. Create a ribbon design that can be worn without being obtrusive, and which matches a ribbon that you put on your car, house, bike, kids backpacks, etc. The ribbon signifies "Protect America. Disarm Iraq now. Support the troops and the USA."

4. Organize a nationwide march in favor of protecting the US from terrorists.

I agree, we should have someone put together a plan of action, i.e. e-mail lists, contacts, etc. who can get the word out to counter this cyber march.

In fact, it may be beneficial to develop a counter "name" and short message to accompany the counter march...

We just need three or four people to head it up.

A bit of caution is in order. Many of these e-mail and fax generators put in a pre-programmed header message that cannot be changed. Your message may contradict the header, but guess which pile the senator's staff puts your message in?

We need to set up our own system as we did during Election 2000 "Overtime". Who has the faxblaster link?

On February 26th, every Senate office will receive a call every minute from a constituent, as they receive a simultaneous flood of faxes and e-mail. Hundreds of thousands of people from across the country will send the collective message

EVERY Minute ???

Something tells me this is going to backfire on these idiots

"Anyway, I hope that this will work. If anybody else has any more ideas, they would be welcomed."

No it won't work in fact it will help the Virtual March Movement because their Message is first on the Virtual Fax no matter what you alter! I tested it already so don't fall for this you all!

Admin Mod you may want to look into correcting this thread!

Correct and In fact on this one they put the enitre Anti-war screed at the top of the fax. I tested it and got their automated reply back on my e-mail. It puts their message first and your message way at the bottom of the fax!

Believe me, I don't agree with the objectives of moveon.org.

I thought that this might be the best way to launch a counter offensive.

In fact, just writing your senator could do the trick. You don't have to do it the way that I have suggested.

I am not trying to trick anyone.

My point is, as long as the senators know that the message might be different from the header, isn't that all that matters?

How could you have tested it, when the fax goes to a senator not you?

When it asked to send this to your friends I sent one copy to myslef this is what it said.

I just sent a message to the US senate showing my support for war. This website
was set up by Martin Sheen and others to protest the war, I am using it to show
my suppport for the war. We must counter this electronic anti-war agenda with
our own. As long as the resources are set up, there is no reason why people who
support the war can't use them as well.

In the message box on your fax, please take out the text that is provided and
fill it with your own showing support for the war

By clicking on this link, you will go to the main website where you will send
your fax.

Remember, in order for this to work, you MUST delete the message that is
provided. Thank you.
