Second only to the hildabeast as the most dangerous woman in the republic.

She's dangerous all right, but I'd give second spot to Kate Michelman who heads NARAL, the National Abortion Rights Action League. Michelman is a genuinely terrifying person, with blood as cold as Hitler's Dr. Mengele.

Donna would become a RINO Republican if it insured her re-election, as would all other Democrat politicians.

"The GOP is making inroads in the black vote. It's trending away. Groups of [minority] voters are hearing the Republican message," Miss Brazile said in an interview with The Washington Times.

As if that could possibly be a negative thing for the people who are black. What a truly wretched woman.Keep them down Donna, you just keep trying to keep them down and on welfare,O.K.? Don't bother trying to help them better their lives, stand on their own 2 feet and not have to rely on Gov't help forever, right??? Like I said , what an absolutely wretched excuse for a human being.

Empirical and anecdotal evidence suggests that she is correct.

Hi TontoKowalski, Re your post #32 - Check out the AP article on post #9 in
THIS THREAD.

Someone recently posted a thread about the GOP successfully making inroads in FL with black voters - kinganamort, do you recall the title of that thread?

Some actually don't want this, sis. And some of our so-called "friends" are in this number.

Yeah, I know. It is just sad. Thank God that won't stop the rest of us.

This is strictly fantasyland.

So I guess it's no use in trying to convert this to reality is it?

The Democrats will have 85%+ of the african american [sic] vote in national elections for decades.

And, you wouldn't want to help change that, would you?

Nope - count me out.

No? Would you please state your reason(s) behind this decision?

It seems there may be a few (very few) on this forum who would rather not see blacks in our camp. A 6 percent increase in Republican support is very significant. We do not need to pander to blacks or anyone else, but we do need to show that we want their votes, that our philosophy is good for them also and they should vote Republican.

There is a difference between altering the platform to appeal to blacks, versus welcoming with open arms any who choose to embrace the values of self-reliance, hard work, and becoming well-educated, be they white, black, or green with purple polka-dots. I support the latter, but oppose the former

Sure.

I'm a quitter!

That is to say, I got tired of livin in nyc, being called a racist and a bigot for my views. Since my college days I tried to explain to people that the policies I advocated were better, wiser, proven, etc.

The opposition got more shrill. I was called names again. Now, my feelings weren't hurt anymore. But, it seemed to me, if they were so sure I was a bigoted and hateful man, why would they deserve my help in the first place?

I think the poison has infected too many minds, too deep, too broad. I'm tired of having to defend my positions not on policy grounds, but ad hominem attacks and what I consider to be hateful charged against me.

I think we should just appeal to the most people we can, on sound policy grounds. I think the typical African American is too mired in the cliches and the mental poison to be won over, at least in the next several decades. So I don't advocate wasting time on winning them over when spending a ton of time and resources shifts only a few percentage points over to us.

We are right - we should keep on being right (and being inclusive) but not water down our message or compromise our integrity.

So I am a quitter - and I am proud of it. If at first you don't succeed, try try again!!! There are two words in the dictionary for someone who complusively keeps doing something over and over again with bad results, and expecing a good result. One of those words is 'democrat!' ;-) The other is 'insane.'

I'm neither a democrat nor insane. Past outreach efforts have been greeted poorly. Entering a 'me too' game of entitlements against the democrat establishment compromises our integrity.

I'm tired of being called names and having hatred imputed to me. So I took my ball and went home. I think that's a good thing to do.

Your read it correctly. The only change I'd make is "most" instead of making it sound like "all".

I work with so many that blatantly fall for the DNC line on race it's amazing.

But there are those that don't and I know them too.

Thanks for pointing that out to me.

First, I don't care if I disgust you.

Second, I didn't mean to lump all of them into the that statment. My fault. I should have said "most". I work with so many that believe everything the Democrats say about race.

I also work with many that do not.

My fault and I'm sorry.

I'd also apply the "they are so indocrinated it's beyond their ability to think for themselves" line to the vast majority of the left. Black, white, hispanic, oriental, etc.

But it's the black voters that vote 92% for Democrats, even though I think many of those votes are errouneous in that the Democrats know they can cheat in those districts and the GOP won't contest it because they are afraid of being called racist.

Just listen to the Democrats who claim having to actually produce a valid ID to vote (which most states do) is "intimidating minorities".

If I were you, I'd get those knees look at...they are jerking.

Miss Brazile said she has advised Democrats in the party, "Don't ignore him, don't slight him, don't treat him like a second-class candidate, because it will fuel his fire, and his spirit will soar even larger."

She's right .. and Al is not one to back down easily

I'm glad you've proven that sign-up dates are directly tied to ones ability to spot racism.

Weak argument...

> I think the fear might be that when someone starts talking about getting more of the black vote, people believe that the Republican party will move to the left to court the votes.
>> Now, if the people simply don't want people with different skin colors in the party, that is a different story, and, as unfortunate as it is, every group, institution, etc. has its share of climers.
The two are one and the same, my friend. The former only lends faux-credibility to their argument.

I disagree. I welcome the Thomas Sowells, Walter Williams', Clarence Thomases, and other genuine conservatives. I just don't want the Republican Party to turn "Democrat lite" in order to court the Black vote. There's a difference.

Anybody who is in favor of free markets and limiting the size of government, I would welcome. Anybody who would make his coming over conditional upon the Republicans supporting racial preferences, etc, is welcome to stay with the Democrats

Figures...the cry of "racism" for simply stating fact.

And I pulled the indocrination line from Dr. Walter Williams. He's written worse. Dr. Thomas Sowell has written extensively on the same subject.

You can also read many similar arguments forwarded by Ben Stein or Jackie Mason as to why American Jews are practically the same. Or Kate 'O Beirn and other Catholics wondering the same of American Catholics.

The bottom line is, why do these people, as a group, continually vote against their best interest? Poll blacks on affirmative action...they're against it. Poll them on school choice and vouchers...overwhemlingly for them. But do they vote in people that would do these things? Nope. All the Dems have to do is run a radio commercial and say, 'if you vote Republican, more lynchings will occur". Or if you're precint isn't turning out the vote, Mary Landrieu will have Bill Clinton call you at 2 in the afternoon and threaten your job in the DNC' pecking order.

Jackie Mason recently wrote a wonderful peice on how American Jews vote in the 85% level for Democrats when he proves Republican administrations have done more to help and protect Israel. Not true? Just look at every left wing anti-war rally today and you'll find the Jew haters preaching their anti-Semitism. Read this piece in Friday's "Weekly Standard" online:
