WOW! What a great article. Thank you for posting this. I agree wholeheartedly with it. Bless you!

That's right. Naysayers can say all they want about God's mysterious ways but as Christians we often recognize His hand in things that they never will. Too bad. Thanks for getting me on to this post, gal!

The presence of National Guardsmen in camo Humvees doing chauffeur duty in Baltimore surely helped change the mind of anyone thinking they might like to 'shop' for a new TV or so. LOL. I had to think about that one for a minute - guess I'm not the looting kind. ;-)

That's right. Naysayers can say all they want about God's mysterious ways but as Christians we often recognize His hand in things that they never will. I agree completely. The thought also occurred to me, and reminded me of the stories I heard about there having been an unusually large number of WTC workers with car trouble or other commuting problems the morning of 9-11.

"Not in the past two centuries" is stretching things a bit. You are right. What I'm reading now is that the total snowfall at one time is the worst in Washington in 81 years, not 200.
When I was a child in Chicago there was a glorious ice storm that coated every tree, bush, and blade of grass with a very thick layer of ice. We skated in the streets--skated to go shopping, skated to visit one another, skated to see the fantastic wonder and beauty as the sun came out and glittered on every surface. We had to run errands for our parents on skates because they couldn't skate well. It was like living in Holland.

He has promised never to forsake us (his people) and I do believe he prevents a lot of things from happening that could have. My brother-in-law missed a plane in FL that ended up in a swamp with most people killed. I see that as divine intervention. We may never know until we get to heaven what God has sent our way to prevent tragedy. And even when we have a tragedy, He helps us get through it. His love is an interceding kind of love as well.

NYC folks were told to stay off the subways until the 19th (or so the rumour was)

Did you get a ping to here yet?
God is working miracles for us on a daily basis. Some may curse the snow, but they don't see the blessing in it's timing. Who knows if there were going to be any terrorist attempts, but at least nothing catastrophic happened.

Sorry to hear of your sick baby. Hope the healing comes soon.
Been a long time since I lived in NJ and forgot about how everything stops.
