The NRA is behaving like the Jewish policemen in the Warsaw Ghetto, who tried to curry favor with the Nazis by ecouraging Jews to board the trains in an orderly fashion.

DAMN,but I wish I had been the one to think of that comparison! It's such a perfect fit that I'm jealous.

By case law and the BATFags, yes. Having in your hands or touching is possession.

Being in the same ROOM is defined as "possession" when it comes to arrest and prosecution. Don't believe it,go over to a buddies house who smokes pot,and have him get busted while you are there. You will be arrested for possession too, unless you are unlucky enough to be visiting somebody who is also dealing. In THAT case you would also be arrested for "possession with the intent to distribute",and they would seize your bank accounts and all your assets. REGARDLESS of if you knew he was a dealer or not.

Unless you have "connections",that is.

BTW,Hells Angel president Sonny Barger went back to feral prison for a parole violation because he was living in the same house as his wife, who had a LEGALLY REGISTERED 9mm handgun.

On the other hand,G.Gordon Liddy is a former felon who brags on his radio show that his wife "owns LOTS of guns",yet he hasn't and never will be arrested on these same charges. The reason is Sonny Barger is not only unpopular with the sheeple, but he also doesn't have a radio show and the influence this can bring.

What about folks with misdemeanors?

That depends. Was it a violent misdemeanor? If there is any question, you should immediately report to the nearest feral agent and get a ruling. After all, fedgov knows what is best for you.

Or non-violent felons?

Yew be goin to da big house. A felony be a felony.

Sounds like there's a need out there for a Naked Rifle Association.

I'm a lifelong member myself currently in my 2nd year of a 5 year bit.

Careful! Next thing you know he will be calling you a liar, like he called me when I told him I am a NRA Life Member. Apprarantly he thinks NRA memebers should be seen, and not heard.

By the time Crippen was released in April 2000, there were billboards and bus-bench placards all over Denver and Colorado Springs promoting Project Exile. "Pack an illegal gun, pack your bags for prison," they warned. Those ads, as well as late-night TV spots pushing Project Exile, encouraged citizens to "stop gun violence" by turning in felons who possessed firearms.

Thank you NRA,Bush & Ashcroft.

We are on the same page. I have often wondered about Liddy as well.

I think Barger stayed under suspicion for continuing criminal association as well....not to excuse any of this.

Liddy claims his wife's are in a safe of which he doesn't know the combination..lol.

It's a shame really. Firstly, there should be no revocation after time and supervised release served or we should at least go back to the pre 1994 days when the BATFags were properly funded by Congress to review these matters or one could seek redress from a Fed Judge in special circumstances....which has alas also recently been ruled illegal by SCOTUS because they view this matter to be the sole venue of Congress.

Is there a Congresscritter with the balls to broach this?

Yep. Possession is a tricky thing, but since the sheeple want fascism to be the law enforcement de jour, possession is what it is.

some people think the Second Amendment only "stays the federal hand" - and yet the feds have supremacy over states in many matters of gun prohibition.

Ask these people sometimes if that means their state could legalize slavery,or if they can be denied a lawyer or a trail. Or if it's legal for the cops to search their homes without a warrant. Or if it's ok to forbid minorities and women from voting.

The NRA lost me went it went for "Project Exile" as a way to ingratiate itself with the JBTs, who have (predictably) misused it, with nary a squeek from the NRA.

They aim to outlaw gunowners in the long run with their strategy of incrementalism.

Or as Senator Chuckie Schmumer said:

"We're going to hammer guns on the anvil of relentless legislative strategy! We're going to beat guns into submission!"

And since guns are inanimate beings, he can only mean he intends to beat GUN OWNERS into submission.

When your enemy has your destructino as his goal, playing NRA Project Exile patty-cake with him in an attempt to placate him is a fool's errand.

It is slowly backing to the edge of the pit willingly, out of fear of making a stand.

No,because they all know the heavyweights from both branches of the "one true ruling party" will come down on them like a bag of bricks if they do.

It's not just the connected elites that draw a pass card, it's any designated group the elite determines should have untouchable status.

What makes this microscopic Project Exile prosecution crap so galling is that across the street from every federal building illegal alians shouting like circus barkers in Spanish "Get your green cards here! $25! Driver's licenses, $20! Buy both, only $40 today!"

The federal agents have to push these guys out of the way to get to their front door, but so great are their blinders that even after 9-11 it still goes on.

If the INS was run like the BATF, every illegal alien in America would be arrested, deported or shot in one month.

If the BATF was run like the INS, you could fire unregistered howitzers from you back yard day and night with out a problem.

I just want the current list of which federal laws "really count" and I have to obey, and which ones "don't really count" and I can ignore.

"They told me right at the beginning that if I didn't voluntarily surrender the guns, it could be seen as my being combative, and they'd find a way to prosecute me, so I gave up."
And these filthbags wonder why Unintended Consequences and books like Travis's upcoming sell.....

Tomorrow it will be YOU, when somebody at the next range table hands you a rifle magazine, and you get 5 years for "possessing" an illegal post ban magazine.

Or when they simply ban possession of ALL "hi-cap" mags instead of post ban ones.

I'm guessing that if they enact such a law, the penalty will be 5 years for each "illegal" magazine.

For many Americans, that would mean literally decades or centuries in a federal prison.

When faced with such a choice, some Americans will hand over their magazines to the JBTs. Others will presume that if they're going to get 100 years in jail anyway, they might as well "live it up" from 300 yards away.
