Sorry. We tried letting one go last week. All that happened was that it encouraged more DU-types to sign up and join in. Thanks, AM

"Do you people have eyes and ears? Where is this evidence that iraq has weapons of mass destruction anyway?"Think ahead. What will you say after the US has opened the Iraqi storage sites, after the testimony of the people, after the stories of the torture and human experimentation....what will you say to us then?
I know, you'll burn that bridge when you get to it, right?

I take it your response was directed at the late King George and not at me.

(And I prefer the Kennedified version, "We'll run off that bridge when we come to it.")

We have always "gone it alone". Nothing new here.

I don't put much stock in these polls myself. I wonder how many of these people could actually find Iraq on a map?
Not that it matters much to me, anyway. I'm a skeptic about this war, but that has nothing to do with what France or Germany thinks. Let's face it, this will be our war, "coalition" or not, and the decision should be made on that basis.
As an aside, the argument that "the U.S. is doing it because of oil" is painfully stupid. If anybody is acting on the basis of oil, it's France--they prefer the status quo because of their illicit oil contracts.

"......last I heard (on the Beltway Boys) we had 34 countries with us."I hope you haven't been misled into believing that "with us" really means "with us."
When our boys go jogging into Baghdad, pursuing the last ragtag remnants of the vaunted "Republican Guard," there won't be any Portuguese, Turk, Polish, Spanish, Italian, etc., dogfaces along with them.
Just American boys, as far as the eye can see.

The boost will help Mr Bush in his current diplomatic game of bluff with his opponents on the security council, led by France. I really don't think these people understand how to play poker. Bush has already seen their hand.

Quite all right. Let's just keep it pointed down range.
