I was just wondering this the other day:

Would it be useful to have a portable generator you could wheel over to the local gas station, hook up to the fuse box, and get the pumps running?

I assume it would be easiest if the station owner was willing to help.

Just be careful if something happens god forbid theres gonna be alot of scared crazy people in places where they shouldnt or dont usually go! I think being armed would be a good thing but i dont think its on the list.

You are right, being armed would be a good thing...if some disaster struck (God forbid) some people would see an opportunity to rob you or worse.

Plus, my geiger counters all have those long-life lithium batteries now. The ones they sell for garage door openers, etc.
