Amazing! They got this pervert and now they are using him to deamonize guns. I baught my kids 22cal guns and let them shoot them too. I have a loaded gun in my house too. Why do they bother to make these sorts of statements?

This guy is a sick pervert but what does his gun ownership have to do with it? I bet he owns a car and a TV too.

Plus, a parent should not leave their children alone with a doctor, period. If the doctor insists on it then get another doctor.

Thanks, but it wasn't just me... there were about 20 of us doing this way back then :-) I was just one of several people extremely ticked off at what these defectives were doing online to children... Now the cops get all the fun LOL

Mam...

Don't you just hate it when you work overtime sugarcoating, painting, papering and perfuming some people and then out pops one of the evilest of evil, a perverted human predator of little children. Surely we have fingers to point elsewhere, must keep our little minded selves busy. Now that is just one of how many???? You better believe there are others, hiding in the dark shadows of their perversion. How horrible that all of this must see the light of day, for the unwashed to see. Just terrible.

"Would anyone hazard a guess that after all those years, and all those children, that there was not one other medical practioner that was not aware of the doctors evil?????"

Bingo! They cover for eachother. I've watched it for years and years. Nobody in the profession wants to stick his neck out, even though they are all legally required to report suspected abuse. Those who look the other way are, IMO, even worse than the perpetrator himself -- they constitute the only safeguard against this kind of thing and they have shamelessly shirked their legal and ethical responsibility consistently.

Before selecting a pediatrician, investigate him thoroughly. Criminal record? Record of complaints to state medical board? Frequents homosexual bars or belongs to homosexual organizations?

Never let your child be interviewed, examined or treated unless you are personally present every second.

Always get a second opinion before permitting the pediatrician to prescribe or treat your child in any non-routine manner. Do not tell the consulting physician that the child has already been seen and diagnosed or that a treatment has been suggested. Know exactly what periodic routine visits should consist of, as well as what vaccinations, etc. are standard practice. Question anything that deviates from this.

Let your child know that he/she can change pediatricians any time he/she wants and the reason won't matter.

And lastly, never select a pediatrician who is a member of the AAP. They do mass mailings to promote boundary violations by their membership, such as interrogating your youngster about firearms in your home.

It's a shame that it's come to this, but medicine has had its chance to police its own ranks and has obviously failed to do so.

AAP also shows fear of competion. Few days ago they urged all members to demand state and or federal laws that would prevent anyone other than an MD from prescribing any medication for a person under 18. They want a closed shop with access to the children.

They've always been "anti-competitive." But in recent years, they've adopted a social and political agenda that has nothing to do with patient care and, in fact, constitutes blatant violation of their oath.

There are some good physicians out there but they have to be sought out. And you can never, ever just let go and trust that they will do right by you and your child.

Yes, but it's still quite a bit of investment prior to getting into the position of making money and having access to children. I'm inclined to believe that many cases are of pediatricians 'discovering' something as a result of their work rather than them getting into the work because of their interest in molesting children -- at least moreso than with other professions that child abusers seek out. Of course, I can't claim lots of personal experience, especially since I don't know how early into the medical education a person would need to decide to go into pediatrics rather than general practice.

Yeah. Terrible. Cynicom licking his chops over an opportunity to bash doctors, when this guy might as well have been a teacher, priest/preacher or psychologist as a physician. Your heart just breaks for the kids, giggle giggle. Does your little cousin in med school know just how deeply you hate anyone in a white coat?

Would a pedophile have the self-discipline to finish medical school and not get caught at his scheme? If not, then such perversion must come about later. The Bible speaks of last times in which men are consumed in their "own lusts."

A person like this guy probably has other "outlets" like volunteering for children's activities, long before he starts or finishes medical school. Ironically, someone's involvement with children's activities is used as one measure of suitability for the person taking up pediatrics.

No way of proving or disproving in this case, of course. Getting accepted to a pediatric residency takes place after the four years of med school, during the internship period, I believe. But he would also have had unfortunate access if he had opted for standard general practice.

Aren't the parents supposed to be in the examining room with the the child? I have taken my son to the doctor and I have always been in the room for the examination.
