FYI.

There has to be another location nearby that they can issue a permit for us...otherwise we can simply "join" the "anti-war" crowd with appropriate counter messages.

Well I'll try again on Monday. Nobody that can do anything about it works on the weekend.

The location in Asheville is in Pritchard Park. Unless they intend on closing the streets for the protest, you can circle around it in your car in full view of the peaceniks.
Madcelt and I were thinking about a "caravan" type demonstration around the perimeter if there's a similar problem up here. ;)
I'll check on Monday to see if I can find out more for freepers up this way.

We have the same situation here at the capital. I went downtown yesterday on a parking reconnaissance mission.
The capital sits in the middle with streets all around. I wouldn't put it past the troublemakers to block the road though. Apparently they were trying their best to get arrested at Edwards' office the other day.
Let us know if you decide to FReep the pacifists freaks.

Let me know about the permit situation. I would like to attend if we can get a permit for somewhere in the downtown area.
