COntroversy increases listenership. More listeners = more money paid by advertisers. More money paid by advertisers = more money for the EIB and RUSH's wallet.

Oh this boycott wored, it worked perfectly for Rush.

Kicked off just over a week ago by Take Back The Media

Take Back the Media? This is liberal fanatical facism at its worst (well, maybe not!). Nobody owns the right to free speech. As the liberals do with those who are uncomfortable with racial set-asides, homosexual scoutmasters for our teenage sons, higher taxes, gun control, etc. etc., their recourse is not reasoned argument, but rather trying to use the power of the state and of spewing vitriol to try to intimidate and cow those who dare to disagree. Of course, the impotence of this effort will only drive more nails into the liberal fanaticist cause.

What I do't understand is why the companies don't see the difference between this kind of boycott and the typical ones.... Boycotts are SUPPOSED to be designed to influence business activity that touches on a questionable or objectionable ISSUE (using child labor mills, carrying furs, etc...). In this case, the whole boycott revolves around suppressing free political speech! That one isn't a debatable issue, that one is the very first protection we are given in the Bill of Rights... this kind of boycott is idiotic no matter WHO is trying to suppress WHO.

I don't understand why these companies are caving, must have total morons making their business decisions.

I too caught Stinson on OReilly... a true mental incompetent.

The libs have tried to silence Rush Limbaugh since he began broadcasting in 1988. They just can't compete with him and they know it. No lib on talk radio commands an audience the size Rush does. That speaks for itself.
