Why is Ted Danson not ripped by the left for smoking all the time in every show?
To: L.N. Smithee
They need the skull space to house all of that manure.

I have added Bruce, Mel, and the full-figured Jane to my A list. Thanks.

From Neal Boortz this morning:
ANOTHER REASON NOT TO WATCH NETWORK TV
Last night I found myself in the unusual situation of actually watching some network television. When I turned the TV on it was tuned to some sitcom starring Ted Dansen. Well, I used to like Cheers and the writing seemed decent so I decided to give it a thought for a moment or two. Evidently Dansen plays a doctor. During one scene he is handing some teenage kid a bag of condoms. The kid tells Dansens character he isnt really concerned about HIV because, after all, they have some sort of a cocktail that can cure that stuff. Dansen tells the kid that hes reached a level of stupidity usually reserved for Republicans and other lower primates.
That was it. Changed channels
and wont go back. Just an insipid gratuitous attack by another Hollywood leftie. The show is supposed to be for comedic entertainment, not political posturing. So
so long Ted.

Methinks that Clennon fell into something he was ill prepared to handle. Hannity said at the beginning of the program that Clennon had requested time and he obliged. In the early part of the show, Clennon said "Well, I guess you are here to debate" and he sounded surprised. When Wood called in, his first question to Clennon was "Where did they get you? I don't think you listen to Hannity". And at the end of the program, Hannity asked Clennon to come on his show tonight and he responded that he needed a few weeks as he did not know the format of the show.
Methinks old Clennon was handed a list of phone numbers and he called without knowing that he could not chant his mantra "you are not alone" without rebuttal.

I remember him in a movie called "Videodrome". It was kind of strange.
Also a movie with Dolly Parton. Not sure of that title.

"Hahaha...James Woods listens to Hannity. ~Grin~" James Woods is one of the "good guys"...especially since 9/11..but even before. He had no use for Clinton.
I remember an interview during the impeachment trial where Woods said he didn't want Clinton in the WH....because "with guys like Osama bin Laden on the loose, we need a grown up in charge." ~~How prophetic was that?!

My mouth waters at the idea of getting Kojak on DVD (apropos of nothing), but alas it is only available on PAL DVDs in the UK.

Yep. Apparently, this peacenik actor David Clennon guy was on with Sean and James Woods cold-called the show, then stayed til the end. Please, do yourself a favor, listen to the replay on Sean's site. I was having the most awful day and got a much needed attitude adjustment from listening to the show - I think I laughed for an hour. Delightful stuff, and James Woods is most articulate and knowledgable.
I am listening right now at Sean's website...and I thank the freepers who mentioned it! You have to wait 40 minutes into the webcast for James Woods to come on.

"Methinks that Clennon fell into something he was ill prepared to handle."
That would apply to all of these so-called "actor/activists"

I think Clemmon was trying to say something to the effect of "you can not go alone" as in we can't go kick Saddams butt until we wipe France's nose and kiss Germany's @ss.

Yeah, I like "The Shield". It's hard not to like Michael Ch-etc.

Also a movie with Dolly Parton. Not sure of that title. Woods and Parton both were in the movie "Straight Talk", 1992.

I was listening to the local sports talk radio show this morning and (for some reason) the two hosts started discussing famous actors. The callers and the hosts of the show all agreed that James Woods is one of the greatest actors in the world. They said that Woods gets cast in a movie to lift the whole movie up so that it ends up being a better movie than it would otherwise be.

Am I the only one to notice that many of these liberal male celebs are wimpy, slouchy, weasely (if that is a word)insipid looking worms?I think the word you're looking for is "feminine." Or perhaps just plain old "effeminate."

I was listening to my local station which carries Hannity's show and they cut to "The Savage Nation" on the hour. Not that I mind Savage, but I had to run to my computer because I wanted to hear the rest of this. Thank God for online radio.
Woods started out his part of the response by saying that he has known Clennon for 25 years and thought he was sincere in his views.
I saw James Woods on "Welcome Back Kotter" a few days ago. Was one of his first roles.

One of my favorite all-time shows was Barney Miller. Does anybody remeber what role Clennon played on the series? I know he wasn't a regular, but I can't place his face as one of the cameos.

I really like Diggstown myself. Never saw True Believer, I'll look for it.
