The Army puts the special in special farces Special just like Jerry's kids.
When your good enough to be canon fadder your good enough for the Army

Well, to bring this to a close : I'm delighted to have had such salty advice ! One poster actually called me "lad", which, considering my age, makes him part of the
really Old Corps !!
I'm also delighted to see Marines being included in the Special Operating Groups. What these groups do is often poorly understood, and/or under-appreciated ; and, service loyalties aside, require training WELL beyond the old Recon level.

A few Marines are wearing blue berets right now in UNOMIG. The military will consolidate to reduce cost because of the overwhelming burden of entitlement spending, especially in about 25-50 years.

Yea Norm, I saw this earlier today. I just hope they don't make them wear those ridiculous berets. I remember in 69 and 70 when I use to run those KT's, we didn't have berets, patches or special names. They just told us to go out and TCB. Old school...like an Army Sniper told me last month "when the Army wouldn't come get me in '65 and the Marines did"..."the Army wouldn't do what the Marines couldn't refuse"...We never left anybody behind...why I joined and why I am here today...S/F
