A day will come when all the sites will be open and all the documents published. On that day, the inspectors will have "completed their job". In other words, the demand for a full inspection is another way of calling for a regime change.

Christopher H. cuts through the BS incisively, and hits the nail squarely on the head again.

"He was making our case to not waste any more time..."

There are enough riddled bodies.

Saw Stephanopolous this morning. Said he had lunch with Bush before the State of the Union speech. Said Bush was committed to military action and was at peace with the decision. Said Bush was going to give the inspectors more time, but it was because Bush needed more time to get the troops in place and work out some joint plans with Britain.

While I agree with the general premise, I doubt Jordan is a problem. Our military presence in that country is not trivial..

Our military presence in THIS country is not trivial, yet someone was able to mail Anthrax all over the Capitol. Believing a military presece will deter material movement is like believing Inspectors keep Saddam from building WMDs.

Yes Blix is a fool, but he has been sent on a fools errand.
We can only speculate whether he is intended to
succeed or fail in this mission. I'm sure France wants
him to fail as do others.l
How can Inspector Clousseau errrr Blix possibly hope to win this game of Hide and Seek on Iraq's home field.

Free Iraq NOW.

A "smoking gun" is one that has already been fired.

For WMD, that is a bit too late. So the phrase can be turned back on those who use it.
