Did you say skip 16:9's? But the one you linked to is a 16:9 It's a 4x3 TV that generates a 16x9 (up to 1080i) picture within the 4x3 display.
mikegi was correct.
The Best Buy website has made a mistake when it printed Aspect: 16x9 in it's features list.

How does one remove the protector? Unfortunately, most manufacturers have now made it so that the screen can not be removed.

Check your manual or see if you can't call the manufacturer.

Someone told me that insurance companies are excluding the big-screen TV's on coverage for electrical surgesDon't know that, but if you properly connect a Satellite/Coax Panamax surge supressor and you get zapped, they will pay for the repair or the replacement of the TV.
