Journalism is the business of grabbing attention. That is easiest done with lies and half-truth slander of the people and institutions upon whom the public depend. This makes journalism anticonservative in principle.

Political liberalism is simply demagogery and sailing down the propaganda wind from anticonservative journalism. It is more true that liberal politicians are "willing" to "go along and get along" with journalistic anticonservatism than that journalists are "willing" to go along with politicians who in fact are acting as reporters' toadies.

I look at this Reuters photo and shake my head in amazement over the stupidity of some of these people. Let's see....Hitler hated the Jews, so Bush hates the Jews? Or would that perhaps be Saddam who hates Jews.....and wants to eliminate them? And sadly, this man is old enough to know the real history....

These people share in the same defect as Saddam....it is impossible for them to use much less understand logic. It would take a catastrophy larger than 9/11 to make them realize who the real threat is and I pray that day never comes. It's a hell of alot easier to ignore the liberals than it is to watch thousands of Americans die again.

Even that might not do it. They have tunnel vision, and in the case of the author of the post that inspired my post; well I think she did way too much acid in the '60's!

Plus, liberals only listen to what they want to hear; anything else is blocked out. It is pretty sad.

No, I think you are wrong here. The main-line press WORSHIPS liberal politicians. They seek them out because they will get the sound bites and quotes they are looking for to validate thier wierd views. Look at how much press time Dashole gets compared to the MAJORITY Leader.

The press can do nothing without liberals in some area of power, or percieved power. Nor can the press sponsor or pass unconstitutional legislation. They can only support it and praise it.

The Soviet Union-Tribune in San Diego is another paper with an amazing bias. We can all tell horror stories about out local rags but it's much more rewarding to get my news online and watch the major-media sputtering and wondering why thier readership is falling .

My own personal take on this whole situation. With the Klintons becoming the unofficial heads of the Dim party and Pelosi becoming a major spokesperson for the Left, a bunch of morons running for the Democratic nomination, the liberals in complete disarray, well it's all good for us!

They almost succeeded but they failed to steal the Presidency in 2000, they went left. They got slammed by the populace in 2002. Their reaction? Pelosi and even more vitriolic, liberal diatribes. This is not something we should moan about -- this is a late Christmas gift and a big one at that!! We should discreetly egg them on as they run into the ditch - I'm loving it.

News media decay is tragic here in Chicago. The internet is often more credible than what passes for facts in print news these days. Our liberal tabloid Chicago Sun-Times is more conservative than the Chicago Tribune. But that doesn't stop the Trib from wrapping herself in her old past; repeatedly brow beating the reader she’s is a republican paper. Surely Robert McCormick and Joseph Medil do cartwheels in their graves today.
