You know, one would think that with all the (justified) rancor people show towards the institution of the IRS they'd be at the least a little interested in learning about how we could accomplish it's demise.
Yet folks remain catatonic when the idea of actually dismantling this intrusive agency from their lives.
I honestly believe this would change if a few respected U.S. rep's and senators took to the stump in advocating the abolishment of this most offensive encroachment on an American's liberty.

And Taxman...could you direct me to a source(s) that enumerate the tax deferments and/or breaks given to foreigners who become U.S. citizens? (Especially foreign business owners).

You are most welcome for the links, jla. Hope the info proves useful.

We are working on getting more of our Representatives and Senators on board the NRST FReight train. What we are encouraging NRST supporters to do is write, call, fax and email their Representative and both Senators to encourage them to support the NRST. The VOTR web site ( http://www.votr.org ) was established for that very purpose.

The NRSTA web site ( http://www.salestax.org ) was established primarily to educate and inform Americans about the NRST, and secondarily to encourage them to become active in the movement.

I am not able to direct you to a source for the tax advantages that a non-US citizen or company gets, as it is not a subject I have spent much time researching. All I need to know is that the NRST levels the playing field vis a vis American citizens and companies and foreign citizens and companies.

The place to start might be with an organization such as Tax Notes, the Tax Foundation, or the Heritage Foundation. I'd check their web sites, for example.

You might FReepMail Action-America. He is a student of and has quite a lot of information on this subject, I believe.

I want to look that up. Do you have a link? I've heard that, just haven't actually seen the document.

As a self employed person, I am forever getting behind on income taxes. And then penalties piled upon interest, upon penalties. The whole system is designed to keep the masses P.O.'d at business, to take the heat off politicians, IMO.

The majority of the sheeple don't even bother to consider that everything they buy has a big percentage of tax added to the cost. They just go off on the business, about how overpriced the product is. An up-front national sales tax would be the way to remind people of who they are actually paying their money to. The 42 cents a gallon gas tax is a good example. I don't understand why gas stations don't have that posted at every pump, in big print.

Self employed folks have a much better perspective on taxes, than the sheeple who have it taken out of their paycheck, and never see the money in the first place.

I believe there would be a real tax revolt, if everybody had to send quarterlies to the IRS. But the politicians know that, hence "payroll deduction". And the sheeple are content with it.

I am 100 % in agreement with you FRiend; a national sales tax is the way too go. A lot of people are afraid, however, that we would wind up with both a sales tax, and a Federal income tax. Now wouldn't that be grand!
