As a part-time hobby, I coach high schoolers who want to raise their SAT scores. The SAT establishment claims that the SAT scores cannot be raised dramatically, since such scores measure students intelligence and not just knowledge.
I have taught many kids to achieve the perfect SAT score, even though those kids had poor showing when they first took the SAT. Therefore, in a sense, it can be said that my students go from low IQ to high IQ.
From low IQ to high IQ was too long for a nickname, so I decided that LO_IQ was short, symmetrical and provocative.

Another thing I just thought of (I'm slow) is, when the gf realized who Scott was, were there more conversations between the two of them. Did she confront him? what did he say? Were THOSE conversations taped? Or was the taping done BEFORE she was outed by the NE?

Yeah, even if he fed her a bunch of lies about being in Europe and being divorced, these conversations will still yield valuable information. Even when people lie, their lies contain elements of the truth. I wonder if he talked about his fictitious "ex-wife" and what sort of things he said about her. They might reveal elements of his true feelings about her...although the very fact he was a serial adulterer already tells us much of what he felt about his marriage.

From what I gather, she went to the police and then started taping her conversations with Scott. She didn't let him know she was on to him. The Enquirer breaking the story about a girlfriend blew her cover, so the police lost a valuable investigative asset.

Did Scott go to San Diego today? Haven't seen anything on the news.

I believe there have been murder convictions without a body, although it is rightly difficult. There has to be either physical evidence of a body, like brain matter or vital organs, or someone has to testify that they saw a body.
And just bloodstains alone aren't enough.

I managed to graduate from a four-year university without ever having taken the SAT. What does that say about my IQ, I wonder? :-)

Beginning to look like someone got away with murder. Wonder if he will become a talk show host?

Amber looked like a vulnerable woman,,just the kind of woman a snake oil killer man takes advantage of. I long for a return of the old days when women didn't go out with men without knowing who they were via a proper introduction,,she thought he was single. with a proper intro she wouldn't have thought that. And she had a "romance" in the course of a month. Gee, a single mother of a small child, ought to wait a bit and know the guy, his past, his family, if only to propect herself. She is his victim as well as a victim of modern life. I think she felt really bad and I pitied her,,hope she is more careful next time.

Thanks for explaining the background.
If she was cooperating with the police, it is a shame that the National Enquirer outed her before Scott was nailed by the cops.

As much as I think he did it, I'm not so sure there will ever be a trial. Somebody brought it up last night, but this could very well turn into a JonBenet Ramsey type of situation. I tend to agree with you. If the police are faking it ... and there is no evidence, there will be no trial and Scott will go free.

I have taught many kids to achieve the perfect SAT scoreThe new perfect or the old (pre-1995 or so) perfect?

Oh, I know, which is why I'm hoping they'll find a body, or at least large amounts of bloodstains or bone or brain matter.
I've seen where they have gone to trial with the only evidence of a death having been very large blood stains. Experts can say there is a death with no body if a copious amount of the person's blood is found somewhere.

Here's my armchair-expert take on it.
The police brought the girlfriend forward to see if Scott was being evasive because of the affair. Nobody wants an affair to go public.
Besides, in the middle of an affair, he didn't have much of a care about his wife. He's having trouble faking concern for her when she's missing. He may have no involvement but, secretly, still feel some relief that she's gone.

The San Diego media circus has been cancelled. Even the manager of the hotel in Los Angeles has turned against him.

She looked the same to me. Frightened, vulnerable and embarrassed. Tough way to learn a lesson. Bet she's quite a bit more careful in the future. Hopefully, it will be a lesson to ALL women.

From low IQ to high IQ was too long for a nickname, so I decided that LO_IQ was short, symmetrical and provocative. That's cool, plus if you had selected "HI_IQ" people would just assume you were a d*ck.
The worst people are going to assume about your handle is that maybe you are just being honest :-)

yeah, I gather the end result in seeking the punishment is not to take measures in screwing up the case.... Should be, 'kick a$$ and ask questions later'..... lol. Not PC now...
To: wimpycat
Thanks for that info. I thought he was already in San Diego. Can't keep up with this guy.
